Ok i have like 4 hours logged in chivalry and i just cant seem to like it, its hard for me to play even 20min straight.
I MEAN HOLY MOTHER THERESA OF GOD! THE LAG KILLS THIS GAME, i always get massive fps lag in melee, and i have all settings at lowest, im running laptop with quad cpu and ATI 5650 , which should be sufficient, maybe the game is just not optimized yet, but the lag really makes this game unplayable, and i am the only one here who finds keeping track of the guy who your going to hit EXTREMELY DIFFICULT? i mean its gone so far as i just spam left click till i hit something, whether its teammate or enemy..
maybe i'll just stick to C-rpg.
Whats your thoughts? Can this game redeem itself? :|

Unreal3 Engine sucked At Red Orchestra 2.....I am with you on that.
Though with your lil playtime you cant judge it....specially not with low fps xD

weird thing is RO2 ran wayyyyyyyyy smoother for me at med setting than this piece of junk, well i just gotta hope they sort this shit out in patches..
IMO 4 hours in this game is enuff to judge it, since contentwise its pretty shallow, only goal in this game is to get the weapons unlocked, which wont take that long.

Oh, ofcourse, because we never play games for fun?
Sorry for the critic. I can understand that some people need goals to achieve, and, well, right now there's not alot of customization in the game.
However, eventually mod support will come, and who knows? C-RPG is a mod aswell.

I use http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G74SX/#overview and it runs this game just fine. I honestly don't see how you can't tell where your attacks are going. Are you in first person?

So the problem is that your computer can't run the game. How does that make the game awful?
This is one of the best multiplayer games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. It's easy to control your swings and actually hit where you're aiming...if you're not having massive FPS lag.

I wouldn't say it's awful. It's the second best melee game out there.

The game is awesome. Works fine on my laptop on high settings.
My only complaint is that just one dude I know plays it, so when he's not on it's kinda lonely. You don't have someone to laugh with at all the insane shit that goes on. There are few things more rewarding in gaming like coming to help someone and chopping off the guys leg and then your friend chops off his head before the body hits the ground.
And that gurgle 8-)

The biggest problem is that the game lags like hell with more than 20 players. Maybe I was just on a bad server, but with 10, it was fine, and with 20, everyone's ping was over 200.

It doesn't take long, actually. You can unlock the whole arsenal for a knight in a few days if you just grind FFA. The goal is not to unlock weapons, my goal is to get better, test my skill against others, be at the top of leaderboards, have fun killing other players in brutal fashion, playing with friends etc. If you need the constant carrot in front of your nose that crpg provides, maybe you're playing for the wrong reasons.
Either way, I don't know what people are talking about with "lag". I play on a (admittedly good) laptop on high settings with a 15 mb connection and I get great frames and pings on 64 player battles.

Well, it seems some servers can't handle the load. When everyone on server has 200 ping, you know something is wrong.

I've not purchased this game, but played it a decent amount in beta. I'm running an old Radeon 4850 with a GB of VRAM and a 9650 Phenom Quad-Core at 2.2ghz per core....on 32 bit windows, because I'm a goddamn moron. The game ran smooth as fucking butter on my machine, which is surprising considering its age and the fact that I've cleaned the case a total of one time in 4-5 years.

I have an AMD Quadcore with 8 GB RAM and a Radeon 7850 with 2 GB VRAM, and the FPS are very bad on certain maps (strangely, it's mostly arena maps).

Good comp and everything here, but the movements and animations in the game are very laggy and odd to get on when u have +70 ping in most servers if theres nice amount of ppl playing, been once able to get to a finnish server had 60 ping there :S(i live in Finland) and what i was looking from scoreboard there wasnt a guy under 50 ping :p . Sad situation, game is pretty funny and all when theres a good team objective map and alot of players, but with alot of players all servers ive have been playing it gets unjoyable because the lag kills all the fun, it just comes some odd swing and dance fest :/ Hope they will tweak the animations and movement somehow to make it a bit smoother or something and it could be a good game.
Got on to play at the finnish server again, there were some ppl with 35 ping at first when it was around 20 players, i had around 60, when it got full (32) my ping was jumpin from 75-90 and again at that time i didnt see anyone under 50 ping, funniest part was at one point there was a guy whose ping was 360-400 and he was easily topping scoreboard :p Gotta find stable server to have some good time with this game, but all the stable ones seem to have over 70 ping :S.
Argh and why cant you decide right or left swing.
