Does anyone know if any other external programs that have been run alongside Warband (besides autoblock) may have lead to people getting banned wrongly?

I have a joystick emulator for my PC, I play Warband with an Xbox 360 controller. Could this be the issue?

Fros7bite

Hm.. i just tested this and this could actually indeed cause a false positive.

Is there anyone else that played Warband with an Xbox 360 controller and got reported?

I must say, at first, I was under the impression that all this spam about "NAMES PLZ" was a bit over the top.

But then the argument of Darkwulf pretty much changed my mind...

The second reason the names should be released is so we don't continue to play with them in our own guilds.

I would ask to the administration team if they can find a way to let every clan that had a banned member in, the individual information.
If it is impossible ( and I think it is, impossible, to ask people to keep the individual information for themselves and not leak it to the community, thus letting everyone collect all the names, leading to a complete list ), then I have no more demand about this event.

I think he asked the question to know if people were using an Xbow 360 controller and DIDNT get reported.

Wich would mean the controller isn't the issue. But anyway, i won't believe any of the other guys coming in, but i maybe believe this Fros7bite, since he posted first, etc... But who cares about my beliefs.

Just make everyone play on their keyboard only, this way there won't be any problems like this.  :P

I remember a game that was called "Söldner - Secret Wars". It was a shooter with different modern vehicles and weapons, actually a pretty ingenious game, where you were able to drive APCs as well.

Usually you kept your left mouse button pressed and the machine cannon fired at its own rate of fire, which varied from vehicle to vehicle. If you hammered as fast as you could on the left mouse button you were sometimes able to fire two shots immediately one after another.

One guy found out that if he uses a mouse macro that actually sends ten clicks every time he clicks the mouse, he could fire the machine cannons, which usually fire only 3-5 shots per secons at ten times the firing rate. You can imagine he killed other light tanks and helicopters withing the blink of an eye.

The admins refused to make this a bannable offense, as they claimed that there was no real border to be drawn from a better graphic card allowing you a higher resolution and spotting distant enemies better and a mouse making you shoot ten times faster. Which is utter bullshit.

What I want to say is: please check if the use of certain devices inflicts game balance like the one with the mouse. Spotting enemies is less of a game balance aspect than the different firing speed of the machine cannones of a Marder (20mm fast) and a BMD-2 (30mm slow)...

The Grey who cheated was Okocha btw.

Please avoid witch hunting, you might end up accusing somebody who didn't cheat (like you did right now :|).

You're confusing someone who can block (and hiltslash  ) with someone who is cheating.
