Hey guys,

I just came here to say that i'm taking a break from M&B indefinitely. There is an unhealthy amount of rage that comes with that game lol. I will prolly get back into TF2, or the Total War series again. But i must say it was a good run we had and thanks for the cake.

You're also forgetting that range is being thrown in the whole time, and shielders can actively block this while they attack yet 2h'ers have to sacrifice all offense to shield, so even if you were right (you're not), it's still a bit lopsided.

I'll agree there. In strat before the patch, it was very hard to get up a ladder in a siege battle without a shield. Archers would pick you off very quickly.

Each style has its place where it shines. But it'd be hard to say that one is better than the other in a group battle.

And you cant say that 10 2-handers can auto win against 10 shielders. Shit happens. The battle can go either way.  It just depends on what all happens. You cant effectively test that either. No 2 ppls skill is the same.

Beginner's Help and Guides / Re: Is this a good hybrid build
« on: April 03, 2011, 07:17:22 pm »
It'll be a good build if you get tired of certain playstyles quickly. I'd prolly end up scavenging weapons a lot cuz you can pick up any weapon and be effective with it.

My suggestion may be to max your PT tho. Some of the more heavy str builds will laugh as you fruitlessly throw into them. Jarids at 6 PT are pretty sick. Rocks and throwing daggers are a lot of fun at that PT. Maybe take a point out of IF, shield and/or Ath?

But its only a suggestion.

the bec also has 3x damage to the head which the long hafted mace does not. I do not think comparing those 2 weapons is fair.

Suggestions Corner / Re: have block related to WPF

Thats funny you should say that, because i was on the duel server testing things with someone, and i went for a side swing, and they went for a side block, and it ended up as an overhead swing and they died. so either they saw it as i was swinging it and it switched(we were not dueling just checking damage and attack speeds) Or it did switch mid swing.

This is actually happens because of lag i'm pretty sure. I notice when my ping is higher than usual it happens more often than not.  Tydeus might be on the right path. I'm not completely sure how it all work. I'm sure from their view you did not change directions mid swing.

Q and Maze are obviously the same person.

XD I thought it was only Gaffer who thought that.

On another note, i'm glad to hear the Remnants have again risen. What is this our third time from the ashes? :P

Steel Bolts   1495
Steel Bolts   1495
Bardiche   1155
----------------------------

Total (without the bolts, I don't think they can break): 15539

Played ~4h yesterday with this gear, went from 3k gold to 18k gold (+ the bardiche which I bought while playing)

They can degrade yes. My bolts go to bent a lot. Its a little under 500 gold to repair

General Discussion / Re: Question about horse friendly bumping
« on: January 06, 2011, 05:01:13 am »

Respect other players and their char classes and don't build a bad image to other cavalry players, that don't share your point of view.

Friendly horse bump adds depthness to cavalry gameplay, as you need to be more aware of surrounding and can't do cheap horse bump on inf fighting your team mates.

to OP:
Hmm... so how about I hit you with a morningstar from a horseback if you accidentaly (or not) hit me or my horse? Does it sounds fair? Rightfull?
You know what we cav experience sometimes? Some ...... at spawn injures or kill our horse, without any f.. reason, he dosn't attack rider, just horse. I've experienced such behaviour before patch, when friendly horse bump wasn't even there. For most of us, horse is the most valuable asset.

So we can make a deal, kill me or my horse if you think that I've intensionaly bumped you, but I'll kill you if you turn your pike on me, simple as that. (sarcasm)

I've made a habbit to ignore such "rightfull" behaviour from some of the players and stop myself from pulling a ravenge, I'm playing to have fun instead of heaving hard fillings to other players. Shit happens, learn to don't care about it.

I actually played as a horsemen about 80% of the time I was on before the patch. I'm not sure on upkeep on horses yet so my courser has been shelved. I do know what you are talking about. But i'm not saying to stab out of revenge, i'm saying maybe to stab the plated charger in self defense before and not after it hits you. Some cav ppl just dont care who they run over.

A sling, or any other dynamic weapon would require a ton of coding to implement. Why do you think native doesn't have any flails in it?

Well they could have an animation like in Rome: Total War. Would that work?

General Discussion / Question about horse friendly bumping
« on: January 06, 2011, 01:40:46 am »
I know team hitting and horse killing when your teammate is on the horse is bannable on the NA servers, but is stabbing a friendly cav with a spear to stop him from running you over allowed now? Some dont watch where they are going.

I'm going to miss the tin cans/tanks. I was able to beat a fair bit of them because a lot of them never blocked and were so slow.

No need refunds. Let your  weapon break down to its base stats and then keep it there
