Throwing Build

Hello Crpg! I'm going back to throwing next gen, yay! I'm still stuck on the build I want to use though.
Here's what I'm thinking:

    Strength: 21
    Agility: 15
    Hit points: 66

    Skills to attributes: 2

    Ironflesh: 5
    Power Strike: 7
    Shield: 0
    Athletics: 5
    Riding: 0
    Horse Archery: 0
    Power Draw: 0
    Power Throw: 7
    Weapon Master: 5

    One Handed: 102
    Two Handed: 1
    Polearm: 1
    Archery: 1
    Crossbow: 1
    Throwing: 120

What do you think? Should I get some shield skill for the versatility? I'm tired of glancing my 1hs off of plated strength builds so the 7 PS stays...
I don't know, anyone have some suggestions?

Shields slows down yep, and you would need to put some points into it which you could use for something else (Ath, IF, maybe more throwing).

If you do not use a shield, maybe it would be better to go polearm or 2handed weapons (damage and important: length).

If your not going to use a shield then use two hand or pole arms.

I'm a one hand/ shield. it works pretty well, i don't kite, i head towards the enemy and unleash my throwing axes before entering into melee.
You get a lot of head shots with heavy throwing axes at close range and you can pick the throwing axes back up.

Here is my build, its more infantry then thrower but its a good combo.

    Strength: 18
    Agility: 18
    Hit points: 59

    Ironflesh: 3
    Power Strike: 6
    Shield: 5
    Athletics: 6
    Power Throw: 6
    Weapon Master: 6

    One Handed: 136

    Throwing: 100

Looks ok.. You will need a longer 1h imo, with 100+ range. Dont waste skills and slot on a shield.

Btw, just noticed you have IronFlesh :( Don't. Hard choice, if you plan it as a lvl 30 setup, since there are not enough points for 18 agility. But when you go up to lvl 31 - 21/18 is the right way imo.

It's the build I'm using currently with Langes messer in 2h mode.
It's a pretty good hybrid build.

You can also try 24/15 or 27/12 with all wpf in throwing for more "pure" throwing build.
with 8 pt it's med armor max and with 9 Pt you can only wear light armor.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
I'm gonna go with 21/15 build and I picked up a MW Miaodao for some 2h madness.
Out of curiosity, will 24/12 leave me with too little athletics to kite? Also, with 7 pt and 120 wpf can I expect to be able to wear medium armor, a medium helm and light gloves?

personally I think polearms are better choice for a dedicated thrower as you can at least switch jav/jar/spears/lances into melee mode and not be gimped.  Plus it is easier to keep people at range and swat them away and quick fire a throw off

Dont wear anything but leather gloves, and use the lightest helm you can get by with, body armor you can go fairly heavy with and be ok..like 10-15lbs
