The truth will set you free! Katana is superior in every way, not to mention lighter and faster. The devs need to fix the katana, especially the stabbing damage equal to wooden sword is dumb.

Katana has longer hilt hence better leverage for power strike. Jap Metallurgy are better, folding steel technique to weed out impurity. The curve blade was design to cut better than straight blade, cutting in diagonally. The blade is shorter and stiffer, less flexing when stabbing. Katana clay tempered the edge so the it's harder and easier to cut, while the spine of the blade is flexible and easy to bend.

General Discussion / New Upkeep sucks for Strength players?

I'm lvl 31 with 139 wpf in 2h. Build is 28/12, 4 weapon master. My MW highland claymore keep breaking often and cost me 899 every time. So what's the deal, Strength players with less wpf will break their weapons more often then agil player? This is unfair, I'm gonna break the bank if things don't change.

And with higher upkeep cost and less chance of breaking, but does that equal more upkeep overall?

The Heavy bastard sword has the exact same stat as long sword, only 1 less length which is nothing, yet price is 1200 lower.

Katana cost almost twice as HBS, yet the stats suck bad. it's stabbing dmg is only 2 more than a wooden practice sword, it's length and damage are worse, the only thing better is +3 speed. I don't think that justify the double price. Katana needs a buff or lower the price.

I want to dress up like a crusader, but the the selection of banners doesn't have a red cross in white. Can the devs include it in next patch, so I can dress my heraldic mail in style? We have crusader helms (Great helm and Sugarloaf helm), but no banner and tabard? And how about adding back that Crusader sword that was taken out too.

How about adding a powerful hero unit for the players to protect instead of peasant, the hero of course will defend himself from the enemy bots, and the player had to follow him/her around to help fight and make sure he stay alive?

As long as the hero doesn't chase enemies around and charge into large group solo.

General Discussion / Questions about "skip the fun" feature

Ok, my main is gen 4 with a Masterwork 2h sword, I also have 2 other alt, 1 is a lvl 30 1h+shield and the other is lvl 28 bow.

Questions: if I use skip the fun on my lvl 28 alt, will I have access to my other 2 chars, will I lose them permanently? What will happen?

What will happen if I use it on my main, can I reuse skip the fun over and over on it? Will I need to delete it if I don't want it to be in "skip the fun" state anymore?

If I create a new char then use skip the fun, what's going to happen to my other chars?

Do I need to buy another game copy to use this feature safely?

Game Balance Discussion / Why Polearms stab so much faster than 2h swords???

This is completely bullcrap. Why did they nerf 2h stab speed so much, my close range stab bounce, at longer range, people saw it coming a mile away and block easy. And people with pikes can just stab the ground at close range and hit me, even stab through wall. They stab so fast that I can't even block after the 1st stab, and my ping is usually less than 35.

Now polearms are not only longer but stab faster and works at close range too.

The whole point of having a long weapon is for its reach, hence stabbing, the 2h swords stab speed nerf was completely unnecessary. If the devs going to keep it, might as well nerf polearms stab speed too.

I demand changes!!! (raises fist)

edit: Oh, I forgot to mention the huge stab damage NERF for 2h swords as well, WTF!!! I swear the devs are a bunch of 2h haters...

I'm using masterwork highland claymore, it's not too expensive like the high end swords, has the highest cut dmg that can also stab.
