General Off Topic / Computer trouble...

Hello, cRPG population! I'm having a bit of trouble with my computer hardware. When I run a video game like Warband, Battlefield 3, or something else that is high-stress for my computer, something within the computer makes a high-pitched screeching type sound. I've tried dusting out my computer, and I continue to do so often. But, this screeching sound is a bitch, and never seems to go away unless I"m not playing games.


Any ideas on what it could be, solutions to the problem, etc?

EDIT: My assumption is that it's one of my fans... perhaps the processor fan. Although, I'm horribly illiterate when it comes to computer hardware.

Person started attacking me in spawn. I was pissed, but didn't take any action, never raising even my shield. However, the person continued, killed my horse (as shown in screenshots) and hit me once or twice after.

I'm requesting that this person be... talked to at least. I was disappointed that my round was ruined by this person.

PS: I've heard more chatter about this person in-game killing friendly horses. Not sure if it's true, but something to look into I think.

BLATANT intentional teamkill at spawn. Hit me at least 4-5 times with the teamkillberge- I mean spamberge- I mean flamberge.

I was also pretty disappointed to see that administrators were online as this was happening. The TK happened before the fighting...

Game Balance Discussion / I'm really not for buffing horses even as cavalry, but... can we stop this?

The "stopping horse with a pike then hitting it 20 times then stopping it again as it's taking off" technique is getting old.

Here's how it goes:
I get reared back when my horse hits a pike. Perfectly fine, obviously. Balanced. Gives enemies a chance to stop and kill a horse. Okay.

But then, I get stopped when I go half a mile an hour on takeoff again. Okay, this is getting annoying. Now I'm on the ground. 23k+ horse gone. On the ground with the pikeman, who has just pulled out his omgwtf2her and he starts stabbing the hell out of me while I'm laying there. Then I get up... sometimes. That is, if I'm not already dead. And then I get killed because I have 1 hp.


Now, this may seem like a rage post, and well, sort of. But it's true. In the recent patch (I guess that's when it started. Previously I've not noticed anything like this.), I've gotten reared back by almost every weapon, and I'm not even able to take off again due to being on the ground, or due to the enemy hitting my horse and rearing it again!

I really don't understand the mechanic of being able to rear up horses AGAIN, immediately after you reared them up the first time.


Again, I'm cav. I know that we don't need a buff. But the buffs to ANY form of pokey weapon are just ridiculous anymore.

PS: Rearing horses in mid-air. Wat?
PSS: Rearing horses by stabbing them in the ass. Wat?

This guy whos... name i can't pronounce, started to attack my horse. Repeatedly. With about 10 arrows. After he killed my horse and I had about 7 screenshots, he ran off.

My gaming experience is usually interrupted at least for one round in each session due to teamwounding, teamkilling, or excessive douchebaggery.
