Really enjoying the superb "Battle in Swadia" now that it is in rotation.  The layout is similar but better than Riot; more flanks, and a good mixture of open and narrow areas.  I will keep this particular map's gameplay in mind on my future maps.

I have a question...what happened to Rhodok City?  If it's too big, why not wall off a bit of it and get it hosted as well?

Rhodok City is way too big and giving fps problems for some people.
I gave up and planned new maps instead of trying to fix the map. But the map also gave me a lesson to not make too big maps or too long streets.
Also the main streets are too wide. I could have added stuff around more, but didn't care, after i saw how it worked at the servers.

Now im making a battlefield theme map and was next thinking to make a broken siege map. Where the battle is beyond the walls inside a city and using rhodok textures.

This! I know it's a bit harder to make Siege scenes, but it's totally worth it.

Now that drowning has been implemented we're free to build maps with death-causing falls implemented.

I think you should make a side of a cliff map, or ravine map.  A realistic cliff face can be made by using all the boulder props with careful scaling and manipulation.  Cliffs and small wooden platforms over large fall distances will make for some precarious battlegrounds.

Nice idea!
I got some ideas now for small battles but the hard part would be to make it work in a larger battle.

allways enjoy the fights on your maps.

this is no asslicking or whatever, there should be also postive feedback not only negative.

Battle: Viking mountain fortress with thick walls and big towers, big multi story greathall/temple in the middle

for house props you should use rhodok houses...i don't think there's a single map in rotation using them atm.  scale them down though, since they are fawking huge!

Two more ideas for ya...could be combined I guess.

-Big harbor map with tons of docks, crates, cargo, precarious ramps, and drowning deaths
-Gold brick props-themed map; props are "stone_house" series, "mosque" and "castle_i" or maybe j...one of the castles uses the gold brick textures.  all completely unused atm in battle.
