That sounds like a good idea.

Could make it so if a player has retired a certain amount of times, they could get a custom armor or weapon added into the game, that only they can get, providing they give the devs the model and/or texture, and the equipment is historical based.

Is damage done dependent on the opponent's armor?

You walk over the eastern border of the EU map either in the south or north. You can switch the map on the top right corner where it says "viewing: EU". The NA map is mirrored version of EU map and all the battles on that side of the map happen on NA3.

So, it's not as simple as changing your region under settings, or anything like that?

EDIT-The thing that would "fix" 2h vs. pole balance/diversity is the proposed change from a while ago (that got shelved) where polearms would only deal their stated damage at the end of the weapon, and a much reduced blunt damage for inboard strikes. 2h swords would then be suitable for all ranges, but polearm would require careful attention to spacing.

Yeah, whatever happened to this? Would be really good!

Like when they unite all the Jedi on Dantooine and then eat their force?

That's the one!

That last link is where you can get the most information about movement speed.

WaltF4s tests are kinda old though (that one is from 2011), but I don't think they changed how movement speed worked at any point so...

Cheers for the detailed explanation!

I'm sure there's a better way to balance the weapon, than just to remove it's thrust entirely.

In fact, if we look at the Claymore and the Nodachi, the Claymore has 43 cut and 22 pierce, whereas as the Nodachi has 43 cut and no thrust. How is that balanced?

Highland Claymore                        Nodachi
Weapon length: 117                      Weapon length: 122
Weight: 3                                     Weight: 3.5
Difficulty: 16                                 Difficulty: 16
Speed rating: 93                           Speed rating: 92
Thrust damage: 22 pierce              Thrust damage: 0 (No Thrust)
Swing damage: 43 cut                   Swing damage: 43
Slots: 2                                        Slots: 2

Secondary mode                           No Secondary mode

Cheers for the detailed explanation.

I'm thinking of either looming a Ranseur or Heavy Japanese
lamellar armor.

But on the topic, the best way to go for beginner is to retire 2 times and buy a good masterwork weapon (unless you play cav, then - a horse) for 2 lpts + 50-150k.

I'm hearing people say, that after your first retirement,
rather than use your loom point to +1 an item, you're better off offering
your loom point on the market for a +1 item and some gold. Is that true?

Also, I'm seeing an awful lot of people saying it's better to loom gauntlets before
body armor. Why is that?
