The Ottomans won many battles and lost some as well, however they were the most advanced military of their time period.  The western world gained it's modern military might from learning from the Ottomans.

Hmm, Siege of Malta. Almost 50000 Ottomans lost against about 7000 Maltese. It could not have been because of our Turkish friends being worse fighters or tacticians. We all know how awesome they were. It must have been because of suckier equipment.

brb, nerfing near east equip and buffing western stuff.
