Warband duel for (char) life and death
« on: April 21, 2012, 07:24:28 pm »
+7
A philosophical question!

If you would duel someone else, say, of the same skill level (both player and character) - with the noteable difference that the one who dies is rewarded with permadeath (all generations, all heirlooms, all XP gone) - would the fight be different? How? Would the players make more mistakes due to being nervous?

Discuss!

would become a very boring block attack block attack match as neither would chance making a mistake.

I wouldn't intentionally gimp myself using stupid equipment or battle builds in such a duel.

I might challenge Prpavi or some stupid trolls like Berenger if this was actually possible.

Does this also result in the winner gaining all of the losers looms? Could be interesting :P

Good solution for chars over level 33 but without to lose all looms.

What's the prize for winning the duel? If the winner would absorb the losers XP, Generations and Looms then hell yeah I'd take those duels.
Things don't exist simply because you believe in them, thus sayeth the almighty creature in the sky!

That depends on the reward. Maybe a fully loomed item of our choice? In that condition I'd be super concentrated and use all the dirty tactics on the book.

It would unlikely make any difference since both of them would be STF characters.

If they were disallowed then I guess it depends from the persons dueling and the amount of time they have invested in their characters.

also, for reward: life. for the sake of argument, let's say both are forced to duel each other, by a divine donkey being.

this. Most of duels are already long and boring, with permadeath it will just never finish.

Well... sounds pointless. Grinding is kinda the point of all the playing and investing time into crpg.
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.
