Ok maybe that was a slight over exaggeration but thats the way that its heading for anyone that likes to play just casual, the upkeep system as it stands is too random, some people think its great cos they get lucky other think it terrible because they can't play with anything without losing money, both are right and wrong its too random.

problem would be solved by removing upkeep, and removing the top tier stuff, problem sorted.

today i changed to another class with new armor and weapons i traded

So basically you're saying you had to swap everything you had for the game to be balanced for you.. how is that a good thing?
I say lets remove all classes and heirlooms and remove all but 1 set of armour and a weapon there we have perfect balance
This mod was so good because of the diversity in it, every patch seems to move it further and further from that and into bottlenecking people into set roles and set builds.

we need to keep complaining and hope the devs listen that making lancers a suicidal class is bad, making archers not being able to shoot accuratly past there feet is bad and having more upkeep so that anything above a low-medium armour set and decent weapon is not only affordable by the hardcore players.

Just to people who don't think upkeep isn't bad, its too random, you can not break stuff and be fine for ages or you can break stuff constantly and go bankrupt as it stands right now, i was using 42ks worth of equipment lastnight, played for 4 hours and lost over 50k today i played with 30ks worth of equip lost another 20k so i've gone down to 20k and only just make money but that leaves me with a shite horse and hardly any armour which makes me a 1 shot kill to just about anyone.

Really hate the new patch, lancers are screwed, all you can do with lancer now is backstab you could only out range 2handers by turning at last moment to side thrust(needed to get horses head out the way or they would outrange you and hit the horse) and even then it was close as it stands right now 2handers will just hit horse before you can even touch them nevermind pikes or even spears... people that moaned about lancers it was already almost impossible to kill someone that knew how to play, block down, they couch you poke there horse you got reach all you needed to do was pay attention.

Debuff to HA accuracy as lancer i hated being chased down by HA but its a class in the game and almost the anti lancer all you've made them do is not be able to hit, they'll still be the last alive, just no kills.

I really would wish you'd decide on what this mod is it supposed to be is it blade&xbow? they seem to be the only classes that don't get effected by these patchs, just let people know where you want to go with this mod so we can decide if its worth the grind to just lose you're class.

Archers seem to becoming more and more shotguns i see less and less archers fighting at long range and just going high Power draw and 2shotting at close range,  again if you wanted everyone to stay within the confines of a certain area just bring back the old xp gold gain.....

And the upkeep cost i lost 15k in 1 match using 38k worth of gear seems to me if you want a horse, you can have one with low end armour so you can be one shotted by anything that looks at you, especially with all the new throwers.

I don't have the time and don't have the stockpile of gold to be playing most the time with nothing so when i do want to use some items, i can use them for few rounds, these patchs really hurt newer and casual players, and you don't want to be getting rid of new players, otherwise the mod will dwindle down to m&b wfas multiplayer numbers 30 people on servers.

I'd like to see dmg reduced a lot and them to use Powerdraw stat, i know this makes little sense for how crossbows work but if i get 2 shotted by a melee char i know they invested 7-9 points in power strike, if i get 2-3 shotted by long bow i know they invested the same on Power Draw, if i get almost 1 shotted by xbow i know they bought an xbow... i would like to see some investment other then the inital cost and some wpp for one of the hardest hitting weapons in the game.

and yea bring back old textures these new ones are really bad.

Couple of tips that i figured out the hard way when i first started modelling, make sure you model in Polygons(4 edges per face) try not to get ngons in (5 or more) since these will mess up textures and don't work well in games since all games render using trigons(3 edges) and polygons are broken down into 2 tris automatically.
Keep polycount down, try to optimize it the best you can, especially for engines such as M&B.
When you come to texturing theres usually better tools to map then inbuilt ones for programs, the one i use most is Headus UVlayout very nice app flattens models into UVW maps very quickly just cut seams into models then it flattens them.

I actually find texturing harder then modelling, thats where i spend most my time.

As a start you're models are looking very nice better then mine were when i first started :D

Me and some friends are making a game set in similar time to warband and i'll be modelling lots 'o' weapons and stuff so i'll post up some stuff when i get round to making some.

This data is kinda iffy at best, most folks will vote to buff themselves and nerf anything they have trouble with, all non sheilders want archers nerfed  but want there own weapons and armour buffed so on..

You can't really even count on the fact some people might have voted for other classes as they could be there main but not at the same time, my main is an archer but i rarely ever use him now, but i don't wanna delete him :D so these other results could come from people using there main to vote for there alt.

The only way i think you can use this data is to remove all votes for own classes and look at the data without them, if theres a wide enough margin then that might be somthing to think about but you really need to be careful here maybe a better way would be server stats, getting k/d ratios of classes rather then what people want, just an idea.

I do know 1 nerf everyone will want, that damn firestick :D

InqWiper you're very naive you want to better the world by making c-rpg more fair? people don't want fair they want to win in games, games are for entertainment people are generally not entertained being pwned.

hehe cheers fellas not gone totally, sure i'll be around here and there, me and 2 friends are creating a game using the unity3d game engine and using electro server backend to optimize the networking, we've been working on it everyother day for 2weeks now and we've made a login system that talks from the game engine upto the server and does a sql query to check it, uses a basic ingame gui to get the input data, so thats all working as we want atm, we have movement done 3rd person view and as many people as we want can login and be seen ingame and move around with collision, so its going pretty well so far, my attempts at modelling are much to be desired but i'm learning that as we move along so i can only get better, but its definatly fun to see what goes into making a game and theres definiatly a lot of hair pulling when things just don't go as you want debugging is a bitch. if we ever get a build that we keep for more then an hour i'll post one up sometimes when we have a chat system inplace :D

Just to let people know this thread will not be updated by me anymore i don't have the time as i'm currently developing my own game and i'm knee deep in modelling, so i have no time to play nevermind keep this thread updated sorry, if anyone would like to take over and create there own one they are more then welcome to do so using mine as a base.

I can send anyone that wants them the links to the tools i used and my text files for easy editing if you would like them, Pm me and i'll get round to you asap.

I believe all negative effects from heirlooms were taken away, no more loss of speed, only weight changes are the ones that go up or down.

Should be but i'm not a dev or even an admin all i have access to is exactly the same as you, so i can never say for sure.

Check the difference between the sniper and the heavy crossbow spd. Heavy is the only one to not change on spd between Gem2 and Gem3. I dont know if this is actually how it is or of this is a typo.

Ah you just had me confused cos you said shot speed and not speed in you're original post, yes this is a typo thanks for the catch there the speed for 3rd is 26 :D updated the main post too.

Hafted blade is correct both ingame files and shop, sure you're not thinking of Long hafted blade?

Is there a typo on the heavy crossbow? Or is it really the only crossbow not to gain three shotspeed by top tier?
It gains 4 from base of 56 - 60 same for all xbows? :/
