EU (Official) / [Unban] Banned without warning

So I was on EU 1 and getting up on a roof and I was suddenly banned without warning?
FYI it was just for fun because I enjoy reaching unlikely spots. I'm not an archer and it wasn't possible to get an advantage from doing it. Also, it was at the beginning of the round so the absolute most part of my team was still alive.

Normally I wouldn't make a ban thread for this (I very rarely do) but he kept on using it for several rounds despite being asked to stop using it (by me). This isn't really as much a ban thread for glitching as it is a ban thread for being a dick.

Game Balance Discussion / Buff plate

I saw that plate was buffed after the 4.0.1.0 patch but now the values are reverted? Why? Plate is such a huge goldsink but it doesn't give you a run for the money. Barely anyone is using it and it's kinda obvious why. I'm not saying you should be invincible in it but with 10 IF and maximum plate armor it only offers you 1-3 extra hits before you die, depending on your adversary.

Background

I first pitched these ideas in game and got a good response from it and several people asked me to make a thread, so here it is.

I'm gonna keep it short and to the point.


1. The outcome of the first round after a map change should not change the multi gained in a previous map. Instead, players should only get gold & xp from kills/points while the multi is temporarily disabled.

My reasoning for this is that the teams during the first round are always unbalanced, simply because autobalance* hasn't struck yet and the team that happens to get the good players / most archers / most cav just completely steamrolls the other team and unfairly robs them of their multi without there being much they can do to prevent it.

After the first round is over, the multi gained from the previous map shall once again become active, and kills will no longer give gold or xp.


2. Increase the "ammunition" for deployable defensive equipment (siege shields & cav stakes) to 2 per item.


Right now, anyone who decides to bring equipment to help their team is severely penalized for little gain. One siege shield or one cav stake is simply not enough to really accomplish anything. Teamplay is almost non-existent in Battle and I strongly feel that the few players who take it upon them to help their team should be better able to do so.

I also suggest increasing the equipment limit in Battle servers. It is too low currently.

That's pretty much it.
I realize cRPG needs more overarching changes to encourage teamplay. My suggestions, while not solving the problem, should atleast make Battle a little less frustrating experience.

Suggestions Corner / Knockdown changes

Disable kicks after knockdown and change it so only charged and chambered attacks knockdown. I believe this would make combat much more enjoyable and less lotto. As a mauler it's just too easy because all it takes is one knockdown and my opponent dies in the 2nd hit guaranteed.

Nations Cup / having practice matches as strat battles is dumb

..on 2 directional polearms. if your opponent blocks your thrust he gets a free hit, even if you use the fastest spears. even with a 15/24 build you cant really get back far enough to manage to block unless you magically predict which attack theyre going to use and strafe in the opposite direction. this coupled with the stab turn nerf makes using spears really unattractive. i dont remember this being a problem with any spears besides the pikes back when i played as ludo. do i just suck?

on the topic of spears:

will you please give us a proper stab grip on the polearms so the rear hand (right) is closer towards the butt and actually takes advantage of the main point of spears... their length? this would be an indirect nerf to the insane reach of the 2h stabs.

so im trying out hc for the first time in my crpg life and whoa i now know what those guys go through. its not unusual to randomly get a poll thrown at you and it getting over 45%, just because you play your class.

3rd day in and ive had multiple people polling me because im last man and im shooting a bit at the enemies & actually scoring hits might i add, before getting off, because who likes waiting until flag victory or til we run out of ammo?

i usually dont like reporting people but its reached a point where im not gonna take that shit anymore and hopefully you admins will do something about it.

this happened on the same map

first off: Solak_Reis kick polled me and it succeeded

you dont really see anyone complain about 1h/2h/swing polearm cav.
lancing is op and way too easy. the biggest problem imo is that they can start the attack on one side and then LIFT THEIR LANCE above the horses head and continue the attack on the other side. no matter what lances will always hit first. fix that shit

oh and horses are way too agile

theyre still in the \mountblade warband\Modules\cRPG\Sounds folder (called vc_ ending in .mp3)
please readd them for the sake of nostalgia :cry:

and while youre at it, fix QSAE so you can say "i am attacking right" instead of "i am attacking their equipment"
