Yeah well, we're a 15 man clan, with the aid of a 5 man Ruconquista clan, and kapikulu, who were all asleep at this time and couldnt make it to the battle.

Honestly, I would love to have a friendly wars with Mercs, but in this moment I cannot feel any fun in Strat at all. Some mfkers in the enemy alliance have some little personal hate to DRZ, I feel that and it ruins all the fun. There is so much garbage in this war. Thats why I don't want to get deep in all this diplomatic stuff - I just come and play, to make myself hate this mod less and try to have some fun out of playing.
Seriously, the roleplay came too far. I wish that there will be the time when we all forget this shit and smoke a peace pipe ^____^

I am not banned. But I don't want my main to be banned, so I have to say in advance.

I have two serials, only one of them has main.
The first serial (has my main Druzhina_Leshanae and alts) is our russian version of Warband which I used for 1.5 years.
The second serial (has 100kWatt) was bought a few months ago through steam (for achievments in native, I love to get steam achievements). Once after playing native module I decided to play cRPG and forgot to change serial, so I joined a server with the steam one. I were too lazy to exit the game and change serial key, so I decided to make a new char on this one, didn't see any problems with that since I didn't want to register this key for strat. This char was never registered on Strategus, and I didn't ever think to use it so. Just for free play on cRPG servers. I use it very seldom though.

To sum up, I have one serial key for Strategus, the other is just for free play on cRPG servers.

If you ban my second key, I won't come here and post shitloads of whining or even GTX cRPG and Strategus or something. For my main char that would be Ok, but it would be just very fkn bad not to be able to use one of my alt chars just to play for fun. I guess you can just disable the ability to register this key on Strat (to register main chars on it in order to not be able to even trade) and let me play cRPG.

Suggestions Corner / Flags on Strategus battles

If such a suggestion exists somewhere then shame on me, the bad boy.

AFAIK the flags were made to save people's time by preventing the situations when one team has over9000 accepted players online and the other team has 1-5, and the battle turnes to a spawnrape. But the flag system ruins the gameplay when the teams are pretty equal.

We prepare for the battle, make plans, discuss tactics, but all ends in 3-5 minutes, for someone have put the flag down and protected it. Even if the forces were equal. The flags make autowins for battles.

So the battles (you know, the Strategus Battles) have become really boring, the main goal is to put down the fkn flag. It is really not interesting to wait a half of a day to waste 2 minutes on that. I'd rather play one battle a day if it was interesting rather than waste my time on two-minute flagwin every hour.


In short, it would be better to change this flag system a bit in order to work when teams are not balanced and not to work when the they are.

The system will work in two steps:
1. After the "THE GAME HAS STARTED" line appears on screens the server compares the number of players in team 1 to the team 2
2. After that we have options:
- if the teams are fair, the server disables the flag (or the flag disappears or sth) and poeple enjoy the battle
- if the teams are not fair, flags appear (or work or sth) and people down waste time on the silly spawnrape

Roughly, the flags will appear if greater_team/smaller_team ratio equals or greater than.. let's take 4 (just for example).
For example, the greater team has 60 playes, the smaller team has 15 players. The ratio equals 4, the flags work. If the smaller team had 20 players (this ratio is smaller than 4) the flags would not work, but people would enjoy the game.

Basically anyone who fights really really weird.  For a guy who pointedly refuses to use the right mouse button im_with_stupid does surprisingly well in the melee.
BIA_ivani4 is the GOD OF WAR!

CheapShot and chico are not so sharp shooters but they choose very good and unexpected angles to put an arrow into your ass from.
Also Tenne, I dunno why. It's always fun to read the in-game chat and watch his playstyle, he has some charisma.
Cicero is a very positive guy and his presence on the server always brings some lulz. Dude, you rock :)

+ nerfing the lance rotation is pretty good idea, but 40 degrees is not enough and definitely needs adjustment (I am cav pole)
+ heavy shields acquire more slots.
+ 1-slot polearms can no longer stop horses: now you are a proper 1h+ spear to thrust enemies or you are a proper spearman with protection against anything, or you are a 1h with weak 1slot shield but with a sword and spear. Good dividing by roles, no freaky hybrids.
+ DTV is now a lovable mode
+ performance increased

- DTV gold bonuses are... strange, I mean playing for an hour in light armor I didn't get any profit
- HA are the real pain the ass №1 for lancers since NO archer shoots HA on the battlefield
- horsworders now are the real pain in the ass №2 for lancers, you can't rotate the lance to aim better or thrust after the bump properly, but they can cut your horse fast (I hate you, Reelton! :D)
- since lancers can't aim properly, 2h are happy and fearsome
- so the lancers are rather hard class to play
- standard native facegen is ugly
- hybrid thrower2hers will now be everywhere

Judging by the changes in lancers and archers, these classes depend on personal skills and can't be handled by noobs. And some changes in spearmen. That's good.
But I can't say the same about 2h and throwers, they need to be rebalanced.

HA should be limited in skill riding in order not to be able to use courser or use it but have a minus in wpf; swing speed for 1h while mounted should be decreased a bit or the rotation for lances should be increased to cope with em (which will be more senceful and realistic); when the horse bashes into sth on it's full speed it should take damage, that will make any horseman play more carefully,; sumpter horse should stop when bumping inf.


Overalls, some good harverst in this patch does exist, that makes me happy. Thank you devs for your work, I still play cRPG :)

Not just that one btw ;)

This thread is not about "wtf is random deaths ai don wonna dai" or the permadeath feature (maybe it's a good thing, maybe a joke - we do not really know yet). It is about slowly wasting the idea of heirlooming. With this new permadeath feature, if applied incorrectly, it can lead to stupidly killing the interest for many players to play regularly or to play at all.
So I want to make a little suggestion on how to make this features more sencible and make it all work out.

A bit of melancholic thoughts about heirlooming changes in the last patches.
I don't really know why you kill the idea of heirlooming with this nerfs. Please tell if I did not get it right when you read this.

There are a lot of players who are fully equipped with loomed items, giving em a huge advantage on the battlefield. Since this is true, you try to make some balance between the pros of looming and cons of quantity of such players I guess.
So, in order to aviod overheirloomed players, you (a) decrease the advantage the looms can give, and (b) make a permadeath to old chars to lower their chance of getting too many loomed items and become a superman.
But as a result, heirloomed items have so small advantage that the heirlooming has no sence now (for a large amount of weapons and all horses), and many players can lose interest to the mod: no sence in playing to earn money and get brand new loomed weapons (I mean "better items"). Btw, some chars are really 1-year-old and.. this is a bit sad to lose them :D.

I want to say that loomnerfing and permadeath are definitely not the best ways to avoid fully heirloomed equip and making it all more balanced. After the last two-three patches I as a cav don't have any good item to heirloom (+3 horses are practically equal to default in the battle, lances get too small buff; the only worthy of heirlooming item kind left is leg armor), but 2h and xbowers do have a big choise in heirlooming both armor and weapons.

I find it more sensible to make a limit of heirloomed items that one char can have. That will allow players to keep their char without completely losing him, and keep the most favourite loomed items, or earn money to buy or heirloom new ones. The word "heirloomed" will not lose it's meaning to char's younger generations and will keep it's charm.
Besides that, forced retirement on 32nd or 33rd lvl or sth can be applied, that will help to avoid uberskilled players.

 + 40 degrees for a lance is enough. The thing is that now cav can't kill an inf, being near it on walk speed or standing; and for that I need a second weapon, more likely long 1h + shield rather than some hafted blade. As for me, this logic is more realistic. "40 degrees" is a good solution, more interesting and fun.
 + Archers got ballistic changes and a slow missile speed, but the damage is high. So if you want to kill, you have to learn maths well. There will be less noob archers probably. Good news for everyone :)
 + Renaming some items, adding new ones. We need moar equip to grind gold!

 - Everyone soon will become a 2h+thrower again. Armagan&Co did a good thing nerfing the kick: before the nerf kikcks were used by everyone, now it is only for the most expirienced ones, for masters. When the donkey crew nerfed throwing, that was good for only skilled players used them. Now noob throwers are EVERYWHERE already. Easymod is disgusting.
 - I dunno what happened, but a sumpter horse is now not a horse anymore. Broken golfcar, which can eat and shit.
 - Looming a courser is pointless, if you need to catch a HA bastard or ANY slower horse. My +3 courser is gonna die in the stable, it waits there for a new patch since looms got nerfed. The thing is that a courser is practically useless for tactical targets after the last patches. The last two patches killed the best thing in all horses - speed. Good that maneuver of arabian is still high...
 - Being in a light armor and with a hafted blade, I lost nearly 2000 gold in a round.
 - Returning the old facegen. I guess it is just buggy and will be corrected, then returned.

Making a thread with a title "whine!! BAN!!11" is worse then with a constructive title "found bug, people abuse it so please fix". As I said before, unless you have anything in your head about that exact exploiter.

Grind for gold and xp? We get gold and xp from DTV now?
Always was, always will be.

I assumed that all the map updates for dtv were to stop exploiters.
Remember: exploiters help in finding exploits and bugs. If they found one - that goes for "devs I found an exploit - please fix it" but not for "all of you are idiots, I am the Superman, and I will break the law more and more!". So if there is an exploit possibility, then it should be fixed, but not the player who found it shoud be banned.

So, from my point of view, the question in the 1st post should sound like "why that ruin is not fixed yet?" unless you have some personal bugs in yer head.

Whine moar, and there will be no players on servers dude.

How I got it:
I had 1 shield, 1 heavylance and 1 sgortened spear (total: 4 sluots)
When I was unmounted (dei kyld mah howsie - bastawds!) I sheathed the shield, changed to shortspear, then picked up the heavylance again.
We won the round. In the next round I got 2 shields.

I didn't manage do get that bug again.
