I just came by to say thanks to Radeon for making trash graphic cards which cant run minecraft with 20+ fps and for crashing on any modpack I tried.

I will definitely get client side mods.

If we get a dedicated server we should look into server side mods as well.
Gameplay mods that make things a bit easier, not all those "50000 more recipes" mods :D

Note that I got a cheap one, not too much RAM. If people can be arsed to chuck in some money as well I can upgrade it so it can run more mods and/or increase the view distance dramatically and shit.

I do not know how exactly it works, I assume they just direct more RAM and CPU power to the virtual machine that the server is running on.
(So literally only a virtual process, not an actual server with more RAM)

I am pretty much on there at the moment. Still in the process of setting it up properly (Harder than it seems :D) but it is operational.

A 10 slot TS server on top would have been an extra fiver, so I thought fuck it.
Might as well populate FCC ts a bit :D

If you have good mods that work on 1.9.4 feel free to send me the links.
Will look into mods over the next days and hopefully will manage to install them.

I remember there being amazing mods, such as grappling hooks and shit. But for the time being I would be fine without mods as well. Dunno about the others.

We could just keep on using the current world, we already built some nice houses. At some point we can add mods maybe.

Yeah that one and Poop's castle are pretty cool.

I'd like to see if I can get some enchantmenty stuff going and perhaps get to the End before Switch decides on a mod and wipes :)

Don't think the world will be wiped really. Unless the majority votes for a wipe. I definitely would not mind, but do not want to take everyone's progress away if they don't agree.

Some mods don't require a wipe. I think Twilight forest just adds a new dimension, that mod alone adds a lot, so that even old minecraft players have plenty to explore. Dunno if its out for the newest version of minecraft yet, but it will be. Would be a nice addition.

Btw that skeletal horse has the most hp i have ever seen on a horse. I think its 3.5 bars? Its also fast as fuck.

Railroad to the npc village is complete, thx to Cassi for digging the tunnel. Its behind the current railroad station. Ill start the project of building up a city and breeding the villagers for more trading options.

In the latest census Cairne village has passed 30 souls. There is still a lot to do and room to grow, as seen from the empty plots. Quality trades are already established, from diamond enchanted picks, enchanted books, xp giving potions, bookshelves, enchanted weapons and more. There is also a neather portal, an enchanting table and plenty of crops.

If anyone wants to build a house in the village you are free to do so, just do not make it too big and flashy.

I'll bring leather to lvl up the leatherworker and get saddles at some point, and wool and banners for decoration. We need a sigil/banner design for the village (http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Banner#Patterns). Also seems like sheep are already there, I'll bring eggs for chicken and maybe a second cow if I can get it to ride a minecart.
Also fucking rabbits despawned or killed themselves as I was reaching my home from far away with them, I give up on the little buggers, it's not like they drop much useful stuff. Found and tamed some wolves though.

Found that Nether Fortress Umbra went to, but died. Is it possible to get to that fortress, build another portal, and remove the old one?

Not only is it possible but in fact every time you venture into the nether to explore you should have 10 obs to get back quickly. However the portal there will spawn a portal somewhere in the overworld and probably not back to the tower.

guyz train station is working, junction tracks are set and bridges are coming very soon!

oh and a huge sorry to Umbra because I forgot about the NPc village railtracks while building the junction tracks inside, I might connect them later aswell, but for now you have to go around the house :s

Yep you can ride a cart, generally can be a lot faster than walking; plus if the rail is really long you can just AFK while it goes on its own
