Another test coming up. It's still limited to the early backers for now. The one after that will most likely be cRPG-community wide.

Binary will crash, it's still the old one, but it makes sure that you have most of the larger files for the test. And that we can fix downloads if they are broken.

actually there are three hours left until official start of the test afaik ...

I just replaced the launcher.exe, started it and now it's downloading roughly 2.4GB into the same directory as specified before.
I guess that is the correct route to go?

Or does it need a clean install with everything from before removed?

Just a little heads up - there will be a few things that are not properly polished this time, mostly because we threw in a lot of new features, and some are bound to break. We got rid of (hopefully) all gamebreaking bugs, but there will be things especially visually, appearing thrown in. Because they are.

But I think it's gonna be fun.

Everyone gets it, because the files are new but the binary ( exe file ) is the old one.

Did the gameplay test happen in the end last night?

Well, it wasn't anything as good as the first test, but overall the game is shaping up nicely, even if there were alot of bugs, because there was so many new features I'm suprised the Donkeys even managed to put all that in in such a short time. It's pretty hard to take it all in, let alone write out. First test was more simple and there were no last minute(literally) patches that could lessen the hype.
Think we played for about 3 hours, so that might tell you if it was shit or not.  :)

Ppl are stll pretty seriously assessing the combat for the most part ... as always ... but all worked quite smooth and stable  in the end and it looks really pretty ^^

I have no idea which play test this was tbh.
But I saw the picture from cmp being quoted with all the nice hardware on it. So it is already Belfast-Era-Play-Test...

I never got warm with the new combat mechanics... I dearly remember a test back when Nessaj was still around:

Warband mechanics but with 8 directions - most fun I had in any test...
