I saw lots, like a better more in-depth showing of the character creation screen, was rather amazing, battles, world map, crafting and taverns. developers getting their asses handed to them even with cheats

A new form of currency called influence which you can use to convince lords to do things for you/with you. A much better UI with more info on world screen, the true size of the map compared to warband (its massive)
The fighting looked very similar, but with miles better animations.

the warband map composed about 20-25% of the total map from what i could tell. There were no nations across any seas just land mass added to the Sarrinaid, Kergit and Vaegar lands. However it was alot more.

Btw, just friggin wait, it will be worth it

I recommend you guys to follow this thread. https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,249537.26955.html

I will keep gathering the important information here tho.

Edit: And I can't wait to mess around with the character creation menu

Animations vastly improved as I expected. Not just swings but characters taking damage as well. Doesn't look like cartoon swords simulator anymore. Unfortunately, Melee still looks like that. I'm very interested to see what they added to campaign, hopefully it's not mix of generic actions like before.

Funny how well improved the map is, but they still use the same coloured text fonts so it looks exactly like warband at first glance.

Mugfaces will be fucking great!

I noticed the *weight* slider in the video on customization, but the max weight didn't make him real fat :(  kind of a bit overweight.  I want to have a fat obese character plz.  Facial animations are gonna be interesting.

Graphics so far look better and lots of improvements but I was a little disappointed they haven't added a more advanced visual damage system with the new engine.  I was hoping to see some arms/legs/heads fly off like Chivalry.   For a game with swords, axes, spears, ect there needs to be a lot more gib action.  As much as I love Warband more I still find playing Chivarly (been a while) and even War of the Roses (even longer) was extra cool when you got those random decaps or arms/legs chopped off.

I'm still curious to see the *replay* system that I've seen in some videos and if that works for multiplayer along with customization of weapons.

Why are they using the same stupid reticle for ranged? It would seem like they could have used some of the modded reticles, maybe they will have an option to use different reticles. This is the one I use now hope someone makes it for Bannerlord.

I think they improved really a lot and on every front, but like I said in the other thread I rather hoped for some general new ideas or changes than this patching on every detail. Especially their early statement that they would build everything new from scratch is a bad joke. Yeah, maybe they coded the engine completely new, but is plain evident that they also did a whole lot of copypaste, literally.

Suprisingly many things are the same if not little enhanced. There are a fair amount of of new stuff as well, though so I am satisfied.
Can't wait to see what they did to siege since siege battles were the most boring thing ever in native warband.

Especially enjoy how those wannabes fell from grace and came back to this place, where their word is treated like that of a regular newbie.

O Golem, you have posted so much on okam boards hoping to gain relevance and status but your God and Donkey protector left you unshielded, forcing you to come back crawling to this, once forgotten place.

Yeah, I was salty about whole okam forums situation. Now it's my time to gloat

I wonder if any of them ever played strategus. With the community size of Taleworlds and strong enough backing to have unlimited servers I think they could pull it off. I really hope they can do it, would be worth getting a new pc if they can.
Title: Re: PC Gamer Weekender + Q&A With Armağan
Post by: Leshma on March 09, 2017, 04:02:32 pm
'hoping to gain relevance and status', is this one of those situations where you're just projecting the things you want and assuming other people want the same? Like a young-un trying to understand empathy, he wants an icecream therefore that man on the bench with a sad face is sad cos he doesn't have any icecream.

After all, you left that forum when you saw that others were 'running the show', whatever that means (if anything) it suggests you care a lot about status and relevance since those people held no magic admin panel to give them artificial authority over anyone.

If Bannerlord doesn't hurry up I'm going to run out of active gaming forums to lurk on at work, cRPG forum's pleasant enough but dying.

Nah, I'm just spamming bullshit for my own sake. If I wanted to be relevant I'd watch my tongue and act knowledgeable.

Golem is an old cRPG player who never cared about forums. Later he found out forums are actually fun and desperately tried to get in the groove, spamming like madman, trying to be cool, whatever. When that failed, he took opportunity that suddenly presented itself. OKAM forums, fresh start for everybody. Too bad that crappy place died and his effort with it. As you can see, he didn't continue the same in here.

Some people are just like that, I'm not projecting anything. For instance, that miserable bastard kinngrimm still believes OKAM will come out good because he's desperate to be in control of something, to be recognized in any way. Cursed be the day I've tried to help that person in any way imaginable.

As for me, I'm selfish person as it gets. That means everything I do, is for my own amusement. Also, I tend to hold grudges for eternity.

Kinngrim is legitimately one of the biggest pieces of shit on these forums. He made promises on teamspeak and promised his 'friends' that he'd have their back, and talked on the forums about how much he hates backstabbers, and how it's lowest of the low to betray people who you've given your word to... and then he backstabs every back within reach, it's like a reflexive action for him, he just can't help it. And somehow his cognitive dissonance allowed him to keep making excuses for it, back after back.

Besides the weird animations, the fact there should be more warcries on the battlefield and the armors are still clipping, it looks amazing. Bannerlord trumps everything compared to the other games I heard of at E3; when you got an on-crack version of Warband coming up relatively soon; pushing to perfection almost every aspect you can think off, who gives a fuck about mediocre AAA casual shooter franchises ?

I'd pay 100 to 120€ upfront to play it, even more to play it right now. Price doesn't matter when you've been needing your fix so badly for so long, trying to fill-in the gaps with pathetic titles that won't ever come close to give you that "umpf" like warband and cRPG.

Yep.

I've been playing the single player in warband but I've done it so much that I just can't get the same fix. Multiplayer in native is too easy. Lancing is like taking candy from a baby. I knew crpg nerfed lancer a ton but shit going back to native and playing it made it so obvious it was changed. Along with the rest of the combat in crpg along with the armor being much lower made people die a lot quicker. People being unable to block or falling for feints very easily along with most people being in leather armor.. it makes for quick fights.

I just.. want this to come sooner. I need it.
