Title: Cant start the game with WSE... (or without it seems...)

Well ok i just pressed play the game... Also repaired and tried again... Also failed...

Forum dead or nobody knows how to fucking solve this shit?

Works if i start "offline" in the launcher. But what if a patch comes in like 3 months and i cant dl it...

But the screenshot definitly shows that you didnt tick repair!

also you could try to uninstall warband, delete your warband folder and install again!

For the shader problem, did you try to put the quality to low? Also do you have any antivirusprogram that could block the download? (mine was doing that since some time needed to make an exception)

Just stop helping man... Warband has nothing to do with trying to connect to crpg servers for wse version check or w/e else its doing.

Tnx for suggestion Eddy, ill try now what u suggested.

Edit: Ok Eddy, its not working no matter if my antivirus is on or off. Ill try that shader stuff next.

Edit 2: No matter what i do with graphic settings it wont launch cus out of shader memory...

That's fine, not sure why your launcher is seeing something else. Can you paste the output of the log window (Show Log ticked)?

Wish i could... The dialog window doesnt allow me to use the launcher at all. I wanted to do that when i opened the thread but i dont know how to bypass that dialog... Any idea?

Oh yea, i downloaded a fresh version of lanucher and deleted/reinstalled entire crpg as well.

WAIIIT!!! Im smart i can do it but it will take me like 10 min!

You have to tick Show Log before you click on Play.

Yes yes i know but i cant scroll or select or copy anything. But i can scroll just a moment before the critical error dialog appears. So i have to take series of screenshots and merge them.

Ok its resolved now since i was able to read the log for a change. Its seems i need to destroy my stupid antivirus... It blocks stuff even if its turned off for some reason... Im using BitDefender free (i might uninstall it since its pissing me off) so u might wanna contact those retards to remove ur launcher from their list of "malware" (and add their own antivirus).

You can close the thread and maybe make a small announcement for ppl that use this kind of shitty antivirus so they dont end up crying like i did.

Yep im also using bitdefender and it blocked the wse2 update/server connection but i was able to make an exception but only worked for once :/

I had the same problem, sucks to know it's Bitdefender blocking. As much I love their databases and small resource footprint, their lack of customization options really irks me.
We can submit it to Bitdefender's false positive submission page: http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Main/automaticSampleUploader/

Thanks for the info, i changed BitDefender to that 360 total security. Atleast im now able to use wse2 w/o offline mode, hope the game will feel better again. So far it seems to be working nicely, and u can modify alot of setting compared to BitDefender.

Small update:

Decided to test connection with Bitdefender Internet Security 2015. Connection to http://dl.dropbox.com/ from an application outside the web browser was blocked, although it now shows a log of what was blocked and you can add URLs to a whitelist.

Ok, I got bitdefender too- so what's the URL to whitelist?  The above ones are all 404ish.
