I like The Sword, heavy classical rock style, IDK much bout metal genres but if yall know anything that sounds like I would appreciate it.
Wacky stuff gravoth, sounds like it could grow on me after a few listens tho.
Oh and melodeath is always top notch even when "generic". Never heard of Euphoreon but they seem really down my alley, nice vocals, nice pace. Funny someone in the comments mentions how he sounds like Petri from ensiferum, and i was about to type that here. And from New Zealand? Dope, one day i will return there and live out my life in the spots they recorded lotr on.
im putting punkrock here fuk u
So what sick metal bands have you europoors seen live?
here's my list:
blind guardian x2
nile
moonsorrow
and seeing insomnium in may.
I'm surprised you had the time in between nickelback and incubus to get into sum41.
Just a few I can remember. One regret is being too young to attend Sentenced's funeral gigs. That band would have been nice to see live.
/m\
Rip sentenced. I think Ville also left Poisonblack, didn't care for them though. Wonder what he's doing now lol .

Kadeth you're an Aussie and you should be repping the greatest Australian metal band ever....Dead Kelly. Also, all their albums are free on their website so there's that! http://www.deadkelly.net/ (http://www.deadkelly.net/)
Good stuff, nails what melodeath is to me. Entire album seems good, drums are nuts, melodies are on point etc.
I liked this but not into that guys vocals, its seems strange that I would like or dislike a death growl since they are pretty much toneless.
My list:Blind Guardian is my favorite band alongside Motörhead. I'm a huge fan of Korpiklaani as well. I'll give Moonspell a try.
Blind Guardian
Moonspell
Korpiklaani
On a similar vein, I'd recomend Elvenking.
oh yeah I almost forgot one of my favorites that I should mention - it's a bit out of the ordinary but still qualifies as metal in my book. Very sad music, though...
Death is one of my favorite bands. Their music is fucking incredible.
I remember bingeing heaps of doom metal and post-rock a few years ago until I started feeling like it was too depressing, then to counter it I listened to cheesy power metal like Lost Horizon, Gloryhammer, Sonata Arctica etc for a while , this album sounds really solid though, huge atmosphere.
Agreed, they're one of those very few bands where every album is at least a 4.5/5 for me, apart from maybe Scream Bloody Gore, which is still an absolute classic, but I feel like Leprosy is where Chuck really developed Death's sound; such a great mix of heavy riffs with memorable melodies. I've always found it strange how everyone considers Sweden to be the birthplace of melo-death when Chuck was doing a really similar style of "Gothenburg" riffs in the late 80s, I guess it was just less pronounced. Either way, he's gotta be one of the most influential metal song writers of all time.
delicious cheese
Going to see Ensiferum live today with possibly some groupie backstage stuff afterwards. Should be great, unfortunately my connecting flight left early so i get to type this shit out while enjoying a free beer waiting for my new one.
Did they bring you a magic potion, to heal your aching wounds?
Aww damn, did they play anything from the first three albums?
Who here can hit the note at 5:12?(click to show/hide)
But can they hold that note through most of the song?(click to show/hide)

Fuck me, this is awesome. I never get sick of cheesy power metal when It's done well like this. It's ridiculous how many good bands there are in the genre, really.
Ive just quite recently started properly delving into the power metal genre
this is one of my favourite heavy metal pieces(click to show/hide)

@gravoth, heard Archspire before? Tech death from Canada - was lucky enough to see them live with Psycroptic recently, they were super tight.
Its not even sounds good lol.they made it werse then it was.

Been blasting these boys' 3 albums. Powermetal with extra (EXTRA) cheese. Basically the albums all follow some kind of storyline about a space fantasy battle between the heroes Angus Mcfife and Hootsman with their armies fighting the evil chaos wizard Zargothrax over centuries (Angus being the 13th of his name during the second album).
I absolutely love the cheesy lyrics, not to mention the instrumentals are really hype. Supposedly they have said that theres 21 albums planned for the storyline to play out, which is absurd and probably a joke(?) Formed by Christopher Bower who is also on the keyboard&vocals in Alestorm.
Any Alestorm fans?? New album is pretty cool

I don't know man, it's pretty metal to have hetero friends that you can do things with in a judgement free zone. I mean, we have a lot to learn from Cousin Larry and Belkie. I'm sorry you didn't get the message. I guess you'll just rise and fall, like the wings of my dreams...do not visit these chambers of internet unless u are sober please, there is enough autism,i can not stand autism + drunkards.
