Scary Mod & Optimization (for Native, cRPG, PW & Pendor)

Optimization

A little non-official patch which reduces the size of almost all textures in-game.
For:
-Native(& all other mods)
-C-RPG
-PW
-Pendor
-maybe some other mods later

There are 2 resize levels: 25% & 50% of original images. You could also use scarymod's textures(about 10% from original) without scarymod models. For native & crpg there are also DX7 version(you could use it with DX9 too of coarse) which removes reflection & relief from models(& saves a lot of video & hdd memory).

So your game will work faster. Better FPS, less crashes etc.

This mod replaces normal models & textures with their crappy analogs. => Less CPU, GPU & RAM usage.
Use it only if you have really old PC
(click to show/hide)
How to install(Use both for cRPG or only first if you play native\another module):
1)Native: Unpack archives into your game folder with replacement.
Native textures(3% from original file size)
OptionalNative models(20% from original file size)
2)cRPG: Unpack archives into your cRPG folder with replacement.
C-rpg textures(3.5% from original file size)
OptionalC-rpg models(25% from original file size)

Very nice job. Some of unoptimized original items seem to have more polygons than all the models on your screenshots :D

P.S. I hope not many people abuse such mods as they can be easily used as cheats (especially for ranged with all the amount of other mods like invisible bushes, half-invisible walls, purple projectiles etc).

Yes, been posted before. Rather than practicing swinging a weapon, it would be better to go 1 hander and learn a martial art that specializes in takedowns, because that's all that really matters in that sport.

Gee I hope I'll have a heavy statue ready to throw at that suit of armor if it starts stabbing at me with its sword.
I find the idea of defending someone who isn't been violently raped unacceptable on moral grounds.

So what? I think purple projectiles were first made by Mercs (Mustikki probably, I don't remember) and they were in the Merc pack open for everyone. I still never used them as I consider them as a cheat.
I don't get this paranoid kind of highlighting like if you caught me on cheating, "Oh no, Internet has to see it - someone from Mercs has purple textures"

This thread has potential, been a while since we had a proper cheating discussion.

Personally, I think colouring anything like that is only done to give you some kind of advantage. Its so you see the weapon easier, which in my mind is getting into the grey area between legit and cheating

Yeah it's the edge.
Not like using the missile models for the bolt/arrows, that should be mandatory ;)

Still the ugliest thing in those screenshots was Segd's face.

Good job with the mod, I'm sure it comes in handy for a lot of players.
