Necroing this thread bc i have a photo i feel rly good about
my uni has a legit sanctioned event called the cataline wine mixer (step brothers reference) where everyone wears formal attire and we all get drunk. i bought my first ever tailored suit and it cost me like $400 more than i had planned and my student loan still hates me for it but oh well wearing a nice suit makes u feel powerful.

yes i'm still husky, but not as husky as last year. feel free to roast me fellow nerds, my confidence has been too normal lately it needs to drop

Also planning on driving 5,000km in August and going to Calgary so I can see mountains for the first time ever. Gonna be driving through the states and planning on meeting up with Scumlord_Killjoy in philly so we can have drinks and share a heterosexual night spooning

you didn't play for several months just to come back and bannerstack with a bunch of other pale ass europeans that all played ranged so you could have fun by feeling superior to other people for once in a game played by less than a thousand people by stomping them as a collective using a broken class making nobody want to play and ultimately leading to the final death of crpg. you ruined other people's fun so you could feel like a big man for once

this game was an outlet for my toxic behaviour that was a product of mental illness, and by always staying with this game it was almost like keeping that side of me ever present. i've recently noticed my life improving in many aspects and it may be coincidence, but i feel like there's some causation here as well.
i don't regret playing this game, but i do regret some of the things i've done/said while playing this game. i've made some good friends through this community, this game got me through some pretty tough times, but i also went too far with many things, especially with MoB and cikel toward the end of the game, and in earlier years i said some very regrettable things to Sofa while he was dealing with some real life shit. as lame as it sounds though, this game did play a role in me becoming who i am today as a person just out of the amount of time i spent with it.
so i guess i want my last words to be a thank you to the devs, the players, the overall community, but definitely not the admins. see y'all in bannerlord if it ever comes out.

Wish it was so simply as to just deploy nets to disincentivize suicides here.

real shit, canada has a real ass mental health crisis going on right now, especially up north and on the east coast. two of my friends from high school have attempted in the last week and they're both in their early 20's.

sure we all joke with each other and type "I love you" all the time in strat and on battle but at the same time i think where we are somewhat of a close community we should probably tone it down, just because you honestly never know what that last straw could be for someone especially with the current state of mental health among the late teens - mid 20's is in general. i know i'm super guilty of this and i wholeheartedly apologize to MOB, Asheram, Cikel and pretty much all of HoC and i also openly invite anyone to talk to me privately if they're dealing with some heavy shit, i know it can be hard to open up about it but sometimes it's easier when it's a stranger on the internet.

i know this wasn't at all related but i'm a little buzzed right now and just really in my feelings and i do appreciate every single one of you that plays this game

this man may have broken some big rules but that's in the past and it can't really be changed. our internet friend groups may not exactly get along all the time but i say unban he, we're a small enough community as is and perma banning someone for their past mistakes doesn't really seem fair to me.

he apologized, he's been ostracized by the community for the most part, and he took the time to write a lot of words just so he could have a small chance of playing the game again. he's an active player both on strat and NA1, and i feel at this point in cRPG's lifespan certain factors have to be taken into account when handing out a perm and to me this shouldn't be one of them.

i've been an absolute piece of shit in game for the past few months, and if that hasn't landed me with a permanent ban then this man doesn't deserve one for something he doesn't even continue to do.
