Colored Pelt hood

I bought a Colored Pelt Hood some time ago, and it worked back then, but now when i wear it it makes my character bald with no head armor (seemingly)

^ this +1 also does the same with the regular Pelt Hood only that it has a weird shiny white like texture that almost looks like a horse popping out of it. :/

they added the donkey head in Pelt hood for fun, but the colored pelt hood still makes me bald. I want to wear my old colored pelt hood :[
