Can you try if anything changed in the latest version (.80) without vsync?

My NVIDIA card died and I bought a better one (and cheaper!) from AMD. With VSync OFF and fps limited to 58, I get "microstuttering" (fps are max but it feels "laggy") - when I never did with NVIDIA. With VSync ON, I don't get stuttering anymore, but I get (mouse) input lag, and limiting fps to 58 with Afterburner doesn't fix it. I have also tried with "bInputLagOptimization=false" to no avail.

From this thread we come to the conclusion that VSync fixes the rubberbanding on horseback that some people experience, so I guess VSync is the way to go if you're one of those people.

My question is: is there a way to fix the input lag with VSync?

What changes setting this option to false? > "bInputLagOptimization=false"

So far this is the stuff that's worked for me:

(click to show/hide)

Finally, Sauce was having trouble and we were messing with in-game options because he was trying to do all this fancy shit with his gfx card drivers and whatnot.

But I suggested actually disabling the "animation trails" option in the in-game graphics. It seemed to allow him to see animations as well as removing the stutter for him. Hope it works out for anyone having similar issues.

Good luck!

tl;dr
  • reduce animation quality (might be outdated since I don't see it anymore)
  • set FPS to something high (I have it at 120), then enable V-sync
  • disable weapon trails

This happened to me for the longest time, and what worked for me was i just set my fps cap to 60 frames and the stuttering stopped  8-)
