Knights of Malta is generally synonymous with the medieval Order of Knights of Malta also known as Knights Hospitaller.

There's already a faction called the Knights Hospitaller.  With the same banner.

I'm quite aware of this, only Malta is in the declining age of Hospitaller.  So we're in different time periods,  hence the color difference.  I apologize for the similarities, but if you must know, I enjoy the name and originality of Malta.

I'm not an expert on the subjects, but I thought the Knights Hospitaller wore the White cross on black earlier on, and then later on adopted the White cross on Red background as we currently use.

When I made this banner for these guys, I knew it might be an issue with Hosp...so I tried to add some things to it to make it a little different visually (aside from just the black instead of red).

Anyhow...glad to hear of another clan that upholds some values within their ranks and doesn't allow its own members to "hound" and troll each other.

Well it is a visibly different clan tag and visibly different people using a visibly different banner, so I personally don't see the conflict (for what it's worth). I mean, we have a Russian Teutonic faction (T_) and now an NA Teutonic Faction (Teutonic_) and they are both using a near-identical banner and the same clan name (though thankfully not the same clan tag), where here black is different then white and the name Malta is noticeably different then Hospitaller.

Then again, that is just my opinion.

I mean, we Fallen had to put up with both Risen and Fallen_Lords
