[Looking for] Polearm/Throwing build

I decided to leave my crossbow behind and swap it for throwing weapons, but I don't know any build that supports both Polearm and Throwing.

Does anyone have any good suggestions/builds that are balanced and effective?

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

    Strength: 21
    Agility: 18
    Hit points: 56

    Skills to attributes: 8

    Ironflesh: 0
    Power Strike: 7
    Shield: 0
    Athletics: 6
    Riding: 0
    Horse Archery: 0
    Power Draw: 0
    Power Throw: 7
    Weapon Master: 3

    One Handed: 1
    Two Handed: 1
    Polearm: 90
    Archery: 1
    Crossbow: 1
    Throwing: 110

If I'd do this, I would use this build. I'm not the best at making these, but I find 90 pole WPF enough. 110 for throwing because you need extra WPF to be able to go around that red text :D

Really curious how it works out.  :)

Thanks Zandieer!

Make sure you're using less than 24 lbs of armor (after doubling the weight of your gloves, and tripling the weight of your helmet). Any more and your effective throwing WPF will drop below the minimum of 91 for 7 PT.

Also, if you go for an 18/18 build, you'll be able to get 5 IF (+7 HP over the posted build), in addition to considerably more throwing WPF. I've never played a thrower, so I'm not sure how much of an effect that would have on accuracy.

Good thinking.

You realize thats the formula for ARCHERY, not THROWING?

Throwing = helm x6, gloves x8, body/legs x2.  7 PT is too much for a hybrid build, dont go over 5.

I personally go with something similar to this.  I've tweaked a little to fit me... and you can do the same if need be.

(click to show/hide)

Now you can do away with the 5 Shield if you want and go full IF (7 IF, for a total of 70hp).  I personally like having the option to bring a shield out.  You could even go less shield (I actually went 3 Shield), and put that to IF.

Also, your PT can very, I only use Heavy Throwing Axes (hate Jarids), so I only have 4 PT.  But having 5 PT even for axes can't hurt... and it gives you the option of using Jarids.

Obviously WPF can very, you could flip-flop those numbers.  Or find a medium between the two.  But be mindful that the more PT you take, the more WPF you need.  So make sure Throwing WPF isn't too low.

I agree about not going over 5.

Personally, I've settled on 4 PT for a hybrid.  Get some masterwork heavy throwing axes.

Otherwise you end up needing a ridiculously high amount of throwing WPF or else you have to sacrifice a lot of armor.

I don't use throwing lances even on my specialty throwing alt because 1 ammo per slot is stupid.  If you go with 7 PT, I'd say use throwing spears anyway.
