Game Balance Discussion / Re: "Everybody Hates Balance" -- Good Read

So San, when are you going to heed your own words and end the "unfairness." The sWalker is the greatest archer to ever live, but that means nothing when it takes 6 arrows(+3 longbow and bodkins) to kill a 2 hander that moves faster than an agi build from a year ago wearing heavy armor...that then proceeds to one shot the sWalker in +3 body armor...tell me how that strikes you as fair San...if you think it is, say so...otherwise fix it and maintain it so that the adjusted arrow damage still kills a horse in roughly 3 body shots.

The sWalker believes that this patch has made this mod the most unbalanced it has been in 3 years...that is all, carry on...mod will soon be truly dead.

The sWalker agrees to this "YOLO" attacking, if this entails fights everynight  :D.

You misunderstand...goats are what sWalker reveres more than anything next to the bow of the gods.  Our hero, the sWalker is not tied to any one cause...battle and honor and goats are all that matter to the demigod.  The sWalker has not changed at all my good sir...don't you worry.

5
Angered because the offer of the goats was withdrawn, our hero, the sWalker once again met the army of the men from the North.  The sWalker's bow fired with machine like precision, cutting down many a brave adversary (55-9).  The hero of the battle from the army of the North was Phantasmal Astralis (19-11).  Knightmare notched the most kills with 84, and the hero of the battle was DAalto (21-0).  Let that be a lesson to all, the sWalker loves goats and offering them without following through with that offer is unwise indeed.  Our story continues on another day...

6
The sWalker would accept 200 goats payment for the upcoming battle...and the sWalker would guarantee great results...reply oh strange one if you wish the sWalker to fight in the morrow's battle on your side.

Diplomacy / Re: Hot on the trail again...so our hero thinks...

Betrayed and ambushed, our hero carries his wounded comrades to the safety of Ichamur.  Amazingly they all made it out alive.  They fought like warrior poets in their cloth and bare chests against the mighty army of the knights from the north...they must have been hiding in the forest; waiting to spring their trap on our hero.  LL_slim was the hero of the battle and had the most kills (20-6).  The sWalker vows revenge will be had...outnumbered 5 to 1 and completely outmatched the sWalker's band charged in without fear or regard for their lives...their gallantry will be written of for ages to come.  The sWalker saw fear in the enemies' eyes when Canary, and Cyranule, and Knightmare charged forward...this, our hero swears, is just the beginning of our tale.

Reinforcements have arrive to thwart our brave hero...tricky you are little Devestator.  But as you know, the sWalker and all of his brave mercenaries will charge the field no matter the odds.  The sWalker calls for all of the greatest of Calradia's warriors to join him in this noble battle.  Even if we are struck down today the demigod sWalker will raise you again to fight until the bow is reclaimed.

An anonymous tip from a loud, redheaded woman(ish) at our hero's tavern has lead the sWalker to a castle battle this summer night.  The one called Devestater has been implicated in holding the sWalker's bow in one of his 600 crates...so, our hero must sally forth to reclaim it.  In the battle before my tracking mission, Canary was the hero of the opposing side(54-35), and also had the most kills.  Our hero went 58-11, but Allers was hero of the battle(46-0), and Knightmare_ had the most kills at 71.  Let this be a warning to all...return the sWalker's bow to the demigod or his search will bring more arrows upon your heads.

The sWalker was only noting that they used long spears like the battles of old...nothing more.  And the sWalker did not notice any numbers on the shiny armor, just that a new bow was needed because the mortal bow the sWalker was using was not up to par...Nightingale must be tired and hallucinating from all the killing today.

What is this "RP" you speak of sir...the sWalker does not take kindly to being mocked.  Explain yourself forthright good sir, or a duel will follow.

Today our hero the sWalker, strikes out with his bow to earn some more gold for his tavern.  A new foe, the Frisian's, met our hero on the other side of the battlefield this day.  The sWalker sees that his old pals of Chaos have trained this new group well in the use of long stabby pikes...the sWalker has many holes that need repair *damn my new shirt, the sWalker thinks*.  The sWalker must need a new bow, because these Frisian's, with their shiny armor, took 4-5 arrows a piece to put down.  Amazing strength that the sWalker only use to remember from Goretooth.  Our hero went 52-22, but it was an effort in vain as the village was lost.  Negga slotted the most kills with 76, and the hero of the battle was Horns_Donkey_Dockter_MD who went 75-28.  Back to sWalker's famous tavern our hero heads for cold mead and ice for the wounds...

Diplomacy / Return of the sWalker...
« on: August 12, 2013, 04:34:24 am »
After over a year of combing the deserts of afgoonistan for his lost bow...the mighty warlord sWalker returns to his native land to find not much has changed.  War rages on a daily basis, and the need for the sWalker's deadly aim is purchased at a heavy price once again by the FCC.  Great warriors from days gone by are noticed each and every battle...like the herculean Allers and the sneaky Miley.  The great Legion marches in again and again to brave deaths...and for this the sWalker salutes you.  But the sWalker is out of practice and his bow arm is sore, so to sWalker's tavern the marry group must adjourn.  Many a cold ale will be put down while telling of your gallantry.  What great battles lie ahead for our brave hero...
