Title: unOFFICIAL 1V1 C-RPG TOURNAMENT. THE BRACKET IS UP, NERDS.

With the blessings of Uther and the help of Cassi, I, Panos the Merciless, the TurkSlayer, the Greek you love to Hate, has decided to organize after many years an UNofficial 1v1.


Let's cut to the chase though:

1st place - 3 loompoints - 10mil EXP
2nd place - 2 loompoints - 7.5mil EXP
3d place - 1 loompoint - 5mil EXP
ALL PARTICIPANTS GET 1 MIL EXP

YOU FUCKING DIG IT???


Whats so special about it , you ask???


EVERYTHING GOES

EVERY CLASS

EVERY WEAPON

EVERY ARMOUR

EVERY BUILD

MAIN/STF/ALT

FT3

Whats the only rule? You aren't allowed to pick up ammo from the ground.


It always bothered me that people were forced to play as 2handers every tournament, FUCK THAT.

Imagine the surprise that your opponent will get if you play a class that he will never expected that YOU will play, and vice versa.

Allowing cav is one thing, allowing unrestricted cav is another.

Also goodluck completing this in one night if half the duels are gonna be kiting fests or over-cautious ranged shootouts.  :D

Throwers, HA, archers, xbow... with potentially 3 LP's at stake why would any of the listed classes even risk going into melee? Think you might be inviting unbearable abuse by not restricting at least some aspects but that's just my 2 cents.

There are plenty of 0 shield skills to cover yourself.

Cool, i like the all builds allowed thing. I dont think any ranged gimmick will be usefull if people just bring a shield. HA delay may be lame, but i dont think it will get far.

The only way that would work is if the xp you won could be given to which ever character you want as the xp rewards wouldn't benefit a stf.

That is how it worked in previous tournaments where STF was mandatory

Exactly what I was going to say after reading the rules lol. When I play HA, he really is the only other HA I fear going against. Then again if he were to come against a skilled player with a shielder/throwing build, it would pretty much counter a HA in a small map, just fill the horse with throwing knives or some shit.

I feel as if the risk involved with bumping someone that has a shield (if they dont have one they will lose) is probably not going to hold up in a 1v1 setting long term.

One might not agree with all the specifics of the event, for whatever reason, but at least Panos is expanding the horizon beyond regular EU1 or EU7.

Guys come on, we played the same tournaments over and over again for the last 8 years.

Arent you tired of seeing the same 2h heroes winning again and again? I believe that this tournament will have many surprises with the underdogs winning.


Also, Im gonna remove myself from the tournament, because I just realised that we are gonna need at least 3 referees to keep an eye on the duels.

Im gonna describe you how I want this tournament to go...

Server eu3.
Map with 3 circle pits, numbered 1,2,3. with a referee on each pit (hopefully with admin rights)
Chat will be minimal, so the admins online can call the dueleres to their pits.
All 3 duels need to be finished first, for the next three to begin (it helps keeping score)
ft3, when a duel ends, the loser respawns and heads to his pit again.
If the winner uses a ranged weapon, he respawns if he wants too.(to refill his ammo)
Spectating is allowed, but interfering with the duel will get you kicked from the server, do it again, get banned.

I am open to any suggestions.

It's true that I don't know why you two seem to dislike each other, but it can be reserved for other arenas than this, surely? Also, 1v1 in crpg absolutely sucks, combat too slow/glitchy, just comes down to spam/tanking/higher level better gear

Play 1v1's on native nabs, crpg is all about the dozens of players and funny maps and funny builds and range of equipment, not about skill/tournaments

I could stream/commentate the whole thing like me and bagge did with a past tournament for some twitch publicity (though warband seems very dead as far as viewership goes). As far as twitch goes people like consistency though, if it was possible to make some kind of cRPG Duelists Weekly/Biweekly that would probably help a lot for people outside of crpg to become interested in the competition. Not to mention it would probably make people within crpg more eager to play, but i realise theres a lot of effort hosting these tournaments.

You and Linux should duel against eachother in the first round, would be good fun for the spectators and yous can settle the score for good.

I believe ancient Greeks used to fight in arena to measure ability of fighters, it was sporting event. Greeks were bundle of stickss but they were people of higher morale than Roman savages who held bloody arena fights just to appease the masses.

You being descendant of filthy Romans and their wicked traditions can't understand Greek Panos, member of first free nation where people were chosen based on their ability and not by their bloodline. Competition was very important for Greeks, they didn't do reality shows to make unwashed masses happy, they trained unwashed masses to become respected and capable citizens.

Panos will never rig the tournament to satisfy primitive needs of those who have no interest in competition itself.

Duels will take place on EU3, be on the server 5-10 minutes before the Tournament, the map will be set to arena (if possible) and the dueleres will join the small circle at the middle.
