Reduced or increased ?Depends on how much PD you have. Mostly it just reimburses the very high PD builds so that they don't become shit. It shouldn't really change anything for anyone else.
So, the malus is reduced with 8 PD , right ? :DIt's more complicated than that, it is meant to keep archer effectiveness for all builds exactly how it is now. Urist and shik were the ones who made the specific changes.

Thanks for fixing everything that needed fixed you guys did it!!! lolstabs, swingstabs, wigglestabs, stabs with no animations, overhead swings that are way off to the side but still kill people, 1h stabs, you know everything! Also, good thing you buffed 2h's, they were so bad and sucked big time, especially the longsword. Glad you nerfed things by 1 point that will be game changing! Such an amazing and game revolutionizing patch. A+++++++ give yourself a big pat on the back you deserve it!!! :wink: I'm surprised you guys don't play 2her with all the buffs, good thing we don't have any corrupt devs in this mod!

most people complaining about the 2 hand buff haven't really given it a chance yet. With the WPF rework the 2 hand str builds would of been a lot slower without a speed buff, and the damage brings it back in line with where it should be with the loss of wpf speed and damage methinks.
If anything the ones who benefit from this patch will be the ninjas. moar wpf AND moar damage? Agi city here we come.

Effect of wpf is exactly the same, asked Tydeus the other day.
The change is how much you get for what in your build, among other things.

would be pretty dumb if a tiny faction could take on a large faction -_-no it wouldnt. From the way the game was cosntructed from start it always amassed to the thinking , bigger is better ^^. I dont like that. I dont want to become a fucking huge faction so i can keep up with the economy race and even if 100 players wouldnt be afk but actually all playing crpg and strategus, it is a nightmare for all other clans then to keep up.

I like your ideas, but the truth is if you balanced it around smaller clans, clans would just band together into "coalitions" and we'd have the same situation.it all depends how far you would go to balance it. Others and myself made quite a few sugestions already in that area. It is possible with carrot&stick method to balance this issue. At least to make it a lot better then it is now. Also you could see it like the war between virus programmers and anti-virus software programmers. I'm just sad that I will get out-spammed even more so as a STR guy...Are you serious? Polearms have got just everything you need. Damage, range and speed. I am going to be a polearm fighter after I get bored with my shielder.
I would love to see a polearm buff though, all polearms really have going for them are range stabs.
First thing I tried after the patch was 6/36 archer with nomad bow and you can infact kite with it, though the damage is pitiful. Devs still havent figured out that the quiver weight nerf is still mostly putting the people in a disadvantage who dont have enough points to get enough ath i.e. hybrids, which however are willing and meant to fight in melee and could desperately use the footwork.I had little hopes left that maybe with this patch this gets adressed.(click to show/hide)
IMO the rational decision would be to prevent kiting by nerfing mobility when performing ranged related stuff instead of a global slow down. It is like dropping a JDAM on a crowded housing complex because you know that somewhere in there a terrorist is hiding. Just plain poor game design.

Heavy Lance still sucks compared to what it used to be. Expensive as hell as well. :PHowever at high lvl 18/21 you can use it with 170 wpf and it's low speed is being strongly enhanced by wpf.
2h has some more damage with the new patch +3lp51c on +3 is still the same as before patch...

Halfswording means lower damage on the swings and higher damage but shorter reach stab. Halfswording before was more of a novelty than a balanced ability, now you get a pole overhead and better swing damage which is nice. The in-game shared wpf character menu display feature hasn't been coded yet, so it won't show up. The actual effective wpf change from shared melee proficiencies has been tested and is working as if you had the amount of wpf that you see on the website.

Parrying with such a sword may transmit unpleasant vibrations into the attacker's blade. These vibrations caused the blades to slow contact with each other because each wave provided additional friction. The unusual cross section of the blade would inflict wider wounds with a thrust while still keeping the blade light
I think the flambard's stats should be a bit different. Increase it's weight, increase it's swing damage by a lot, reduce it's thrust damage, and reduce it's speed. But that's just my opinion if you wanted to balance it with the other two handers.
Still slower, weaker, and less wieldy than bardiche or long axe-class weapons. Also due to regular Voulge buff it now does only 1 more cut damage than it, but keeps it's disadvantages: only 1 effective attack direction, slow as shit etc.

You know, can't block after first part of release animation. Its the only 2d pole with unbalanced stat, and its only 85 speed anyway. 85 speed, 3.5 weight and that length makes it turn pretty slow. Unbalanced just makes it even worse. But I still found it fun to use for a bit
