Im just interested to see how many players play with this package.
I dont myself, i find it too be a bit too much to see every player fitted with shiny golden weapons
-
where is the poll? :D
Personally as much as I respect his effort and amount of work he put into it I never even tried it. All that gold and the different colours, not my taste at all.
-
Not anymore, got tired of reinstalling all mods after each new patch.
-
Same as Boeren...
-
Don't use any mods.
-
I would if I owned a masterwork Torch. That model is worth like 5 heirlooms.
-
I tried it yesterday, but then i deleted it with the repair function on launcher.
I don't think I installed it to the wrong place, because it comes with an installer.
The Weapons looked good, but it also replaced many of my armors to other armors, like switching a few of my ingame armors to studded leather armor or something.
It's not only studded leather armor, but also some other ones too, including helmets, that got switched around.
So I think the weapons are good, but i don't know why it also replaced my armor textures.

Same with StigUI. They're both nice, but cba.
-
some weapons look miles better and should be used to replace default ones, such as sword of war with its 8 bit original textures.
but overall the pack is a bit too much, some weapons are just a bit too shiny, there is a less shiny version would I would probably use if I didnt have to reinstall after each patch ;(
-
...only reason I give a damn about MW weapons is that package. Love it!
-
i am so used it that i cant play without it :3 i once didnt play cuz it wasnt working for some while

If you do not want to replace the armor untick the modparts black death and something with 1400 or so. read their description.
I just installed it 2 days ago and I like it. specially the polearms are nice.
some swords are to much bling bling. but all in all really nice.
-
No.
Simply got bored of it. Was fun at first, when everybody wasnt so shiny. Absolutely everybody has a overpimped MW item these days, which means its not so special.
-
Never even tried it
But that's cause I play on all the low/crappy graphic settings, so I didnt think I would even notice the retextures that well
-
Thanks for the help :D

Actually when I used it on dx7 and lowest settings, it could be seen very well. It did not affect performance either.
I am with boeren on this one, cba to reinstall it every time, but if it was easily available with the launcher, I would use it.
-
I use it with WSE2 on DX9. Ever since the WSE2 switch forcing DX9, the game now renders some specular lighting or shading even on the lowest settings. Being partially colourblind, I have a hard time seeing the default textures in some maps as they're dark and blend in with the environment and armours, especially when it's night time. The heirloom pack makes every weapon brighter and much easier to see. A slight performance hit FPS-wise, but I play better with it.
-
Can't play without it. For a while I had switched to the alternate "Darker Textures" version which might be more to the taste of the people here who are so aghast at the goldenness of the original, but I've switched back now. I want to say I'm surprised at the level of laziness exhibited here regarding not wanting to click two buttons every once in a while when a crpg patch comes out to reinstall the mod, but truth is nothing of the sort surprises me anymore. In any case, crpg without Final Boss' heirlooms (and a few other texture/sound submods) is out of the question for me. Just knowing how much prettier everything can look and sound than vanilla, it's impossible not to make it so.

I use it because I like to know what my opponent is armed with, or what weapon is lying on the ground. It just gives me more confidence when fighting someone.
It helps me also to differentiate between what type of crossbow someone is using from far away.
-
I used it when i started to help me find people with mw and kill them to get their wep... nowadays everyone is using a mw so I just have to spam my way in the mob and loot mws who aren't as awesome as mine... :(
Now I only use it to make my elder wooden stick look like a freaking magic rod!
:D (I want a mw torch ahahha!)
-
MW torches rule, i just got one
-
personally I don't mind it at time,
especially when I'm on my archer alt character and want to pick up or re find/collect the masterwork arrows or any type of weapons lying about on the floor it can be useful :)
