Add a Sprint Key & add a fatigue bar. Fatigue increased when player sprint and spam, to enhance the gameplay.

Suggested many times.

I agree, if it could ever be implemented should be based on encumbrance and weapon weight. People in plate with great mauls/great long bardiches should spam the least not the most.

Sprint could be done by doubling athletics for a short period of time?

Yeah, this is the only thing that could effectively reduce the spam. Would be hard to balance, though, but if done right, absolutely worth it. It could also remove the hard requirements, so that anyone could use any weapon, right from the start, but a peasant with a great maul would have big problems doing a second strike.

Unfortunately, I think this might go beyond modding capabilities...

Absolutely would love this. I spammed the forum on native to get it on final warband but was never implemented :( All actions should take up fatigue. I dont like the idea of a bar showing it thought. I'd love an invisible system like operation flashpoint had.
Why is everybody telling me to think? I think, I just don't show it.

I'd like this a lot. Would allow increased stats for some weapons (due to new stamina handicap) and possibly an increase in armor stats especially plate. Also, crush through block could be added to more weapons and they would not be over powered (Higher weight, more crush through, less stamina)

I'd like a system similar to Demon's Soul one's. Blocking, attacking and sprint takes stamina, you can increase the size of your stamina bar. When blocking, the stamina you lost is dependant on the damage that should have been taken. Blocking without enough stamina either means failing to block or simply the stamina goes to 0, meaning you won't be able to attack right after having suffered a big row of attacks. Your stamina is repleted much slower when you are holding a block.

Losing stamina for blocks would defeat the original "anti-spam" purpose, don't you think ?

Yeah, actually, we're trying to reduce spam, not increase it. Blocking in M&B is harder than in Demons Souls, so it doesn't really need the Fatigue applied to it. Fatigue for swings on the other hand would be good. I think it would change the game tremendously, and in a good way.

For swings and sprint only.

Blocking, holding shield, e.t.c.. would just make it retarded.

There is no such option cause that's not possible. It's the best idea ever.
I wouldn't like it if it would cause some kind of total disability when you run out. It's not realistic and it would be bad for gameplay. Such as completely being unable to block if you have 0 stamina would not be good. Blocking shouldn't be affected at all and the downsides should be only so that things are more difficult to do. Swings do less damage and are slower etc. but never completely disabled.
Why is everybody telling me to think? I think, I just don't show it.

This idea sucks.  It completely changes the way warband plays and makes it more like World of Warcraft or some stupid game with mana bars and fatigue bars, and rage bars, and energy bars, and sprinting bars, stamina bars, resting bars, jumping bars, dancing bars, space bars, metal bars, sports bars, gay bars, grizzly bars, polar bars, ect...  The game is designed around how you move your mouse, not around artifical concepts like a timer on how much you can swing.  The moment they do that is the moment i go back to native.

The poll sucks as well.  I don't think the fatigue bar is going to help gameplay and i am not a casual player.  I refused to vote.
