So I bought this game even after the disappointing multiplayer beta because I am a total Doom 1-2 fanboy.


I must say ive been pleasantly surprised so far, Its very quick paced where you just blow the crap out of classic Doom demons, The story is secondary but gives you some info ofc. The multiplayer is still pretty meh but the single player has secrets and all of that jazz with a lot of easter eggs and possibly the thing i enjoyed the most out of pure fanboyism was the classic doom level secrets

It can be pretty repetitive but it captures that fast paced blow shit up style of earlier shooters.

What did you guys think of single player? (if you bought it) I dabble in the MP but i dont think i will play it a lot, especially when Overwatch is released

Seems like multiplayer is the only real reason to play this.

Seems odd considering the Multiplayer is very fast paced and more frantic than single player. SP has its moments of all out action but at least you get a breather :p

It's funny cos that's the total opposite of what most people have been saying.

Yet to play the multiplayer but the single player is a lot of fun. There is a story but you don't have to listen, the atmosphere is great but the gameplay takes centre stage.

My brothers and I have bought it. But we are very dissapointed about MP, that was the reason to buy.
 The main and the most important problem is that you have to wait too long to start a match. And after it ends (5-10 minutes) you have to wait again. Yesterday I decided that will play a little bit MP, started to look for a match, the second guy was found pretty quickly and we waited at least 5 minutes. Then 3rd one appeared, we waited for 2 minutes more and the second dropped and we still had to wait for two other players.
This pissed me off. 10 minutes waiting to play 5 minutes. FTS!
SP is fine, but it is not that fun as MP. However MP itself is made pretty nice. The only thing we didnt get, why they didnt do just common servers as it was for QuakeI.

Seems it's a trend these days with multiplayer games, way too much fucking waiting. The least they could do is make the matches last longer if they insist on making the players wait two decades.

The SP is hella fun. They pulled some minor BS with the controls though. My setup is retarded so I rebound some stuff and it replaced tab but then there's no way of bringing up the map or upgrade screen since you can't rebind it to something else in the key binding menu.

Sorry I just blame consoles when pc multiplayer games having short rounds and long matching bullshit between rounds, like in overwatch.
