Dark Sun is a cool Dungeons and Dragons setting. It's "post apocalyptic" but not modern. Just take your regular fantasy world with elves and shit, then nuke it into a sandy barren waste. Kind of like Dune. The hobbits there are cannibals and eat other intelligent beings. It's hard times. Anyway they have one of my favorite dragon varieties: the dracolich.

Once you reach the peak of your power as a human (or whatever standard race) wizard, you decide "hey this planet is circling the drain already, not like anything I do will make it much worse" and you sacrifice a couple thousand people/drain the surrounding miles of terrain for every last ounce of life and vitality to turn yourself into a motherfucking dracolich.

Congrats! You are now immortal, and nearly a god. Some do-gooder adventurers will probably kill you when they get to level 20, but meanwhile you can do whatever the fuck you want on this dying planet!!

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

best dragon pic I´ve seen in a long time, and I´m not even that much of a dragon fan
It's an animated series, the dragon shooting star in the series looks like my avatar. Make sure you watch the ova's as the rebooted series isn't as good.

I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons in a land apart.

If you like Golden Axe, it's worth playing. The levels are kind of short, but that means you get to go through all sorts of different areas (A+ artwork by Capcom) and plenty of bosses.

I can see it's also pretty expensive at least in PAL version, around 152 USD.

I almost feel like they're not the same creature. Kind of like how the Japanese "oni" is often translated as "ogre" but it's not really the same thing. He got horns and control a thunder and lightnin' what kinda ogre is that??

I love the idea of dragons as some sort of mystical creature appearing as a "personification of a feeling or fate/destiny" such as Falkor the luck dragon from the neverending story.

Maybe if Coronoa virus gets rid of 50 percent or more of the world population we can do without a pope and religion.
