From what i understand you get the percentage of the opponents bets proportional to the bets you made. I dont think there are any odds in the classic meaning. Its a risk/reward system. I might have misunderstood tho

Yeah, I just read about it. I guess he isn't even involved in the betting himself.
Don't.

Well for realistic odds you would have to know each players skill in relation to others. Even if you somehow knew that, this game can be realy unpredictable so this is probably the best solution

Well that's the point. The players make the odds themselves, i.e the bigger your e-peen the more bets you're going to get put on you, and the harder your fall will be should you fail.

The betting system does kind of the same thing, no money is handled until after the match - a good way to test what people really are made of

And no, I'm not going to be *involved* in bets other than being the guy who distributes the gold, and maybe betting myself. Taking percentages or setting up predefined odds would just be silly and time-consuming.

Also, it do would appear that people bet on *even* matches, look at Candiru vs. GTX.

I'LL TAKE THE CASE!

Thanks for the effort, but no thanks. I think the current betting system is perfectly in line with the spirit of the organization (+ it's less work :P).

I'd love to use it for the tourneys though! If that's alright?

If it gets off the ground, I'll be accepting bets on all kinds of things. Still not sure there's enough interest to make it worthwhile, though. We'll see.
Don't.

Battle of the titans, the arch-nemesises finally meet in a duel to the death. Many an insulting word has been shouted in EU_3, many an e-peen waved about; sentences such as "I know I can beat you" have been heard by the unwashed masses... One duel to rule them all. Who will walk away with riches and eternal glory, who with shame and excuses explaining the embarrassing, to say the least, loss?

WHEN AN IMMOVABLE EGO MEETS AN UNSTOPPABLE EGO, what happens?

Gents, we're about to fiiiiiind ooooooooooooooout.
