I finally sat down and tried the beta yesterday, definitely won't be buying this one for multiplayer, if at all. The combat felt clunkier and more sluggish than war of the roses ever did. Just gotta hope that the singleplayer can make it worth it, otherwise I sure ain't buying it until some good mods drop.

Football could be so cool if only they allowed (reasonable) amounts of physical contact and penalized people every time they were faking an injury. The main reason for them remaining so strict with improper contact (or so I'm told) is that it's incredibly easy for the players to injure their legs (knees/ankles) due to the types of contact that are common in the sport. Give em all solid metal leg braces the prevent such injuries from occurring and let em go wild, I say. Or even better, robot legs.

I stopped by these forums expecting them to be completely dead, but I had a chuckle seeing a few of you rambling on here. I want you guys to know, even if I never played on a server with you (NA here), I've not yet been part of another small community quite like cRPG. It truly was something special, to come online after work or school and see the same 100ish people every night. Three of the handful of good friends I have made online were from this game.

I remember having a lot of bad times on this game too, but you need the bad to make the good stand out. I believe one reason we remember old video games fondly is because we miss our lives as they were, when we had played that game. I was an angsty teenager for the majority of my playtime, but now I'm being an angsty adult by posting this feely shit.

To anyone who reads this I wish you well. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic because it's getting late here. Carry on and take pride in your skills in future fighting games. Be humble because there is always someone better. Welcome new players as this mod did most of the time, and fight your friends battles with them - even if they have worse gear and are outnumbered.

It was better than I thought, but I thought it'd be unwatchable garbage so there's that. As someone who hasn't read the books nor played the games, it was certainly confusing until episode 3 or 4 where you met the king whose child became that demon as both an adult and kid in the same episode. I didn't even realize there were 3 separate time periods (one for each character), each with their own time skips, because they never aged anyone at all. It's acceptable that Yennefer and Geralt don't noticeably age, but Yennefer even comments on how Jaskier is getting old and has crows feet wrinkles and yet he looks no different than when he first appeared. Same can be said for Ciri's grandma who didn't age at all either. All they had to do was put the year in subtitles at the bottom when you're first introduced to each main character and it woulda solved my main gripe with the show, apart from what everyone seems to agree was subpar casting for certain characters.
