There's only one way to settle this, Xant and Kafein.

RL duel. No clothes. No weapons. All man.

If you behave anything like you do on forums, I think you'd be killed. I think most of us would. The soft farmers won, in the long run. We are their progeny.

The thing that surprised me about this was the amount of eggs in this basket. I'm guessing there aren't too many great baskets? I honestly thought offshore tax firms were more...distributed. And perhaps they are. The journalists could've simply gotten lucky (I'm not saying they didn't put it thousands of hours of good work, etc, just that it seems odd that one firm would be connected to so many people), here.

And before we disparage them for their choices...how many of you download entertainment for free? How many filed taxes for cash only transactions?

I'm not a fan of the Killing Joke. Don't get me wrong, it's a masterpiece, I just don't think certain character choices make sense. That said, I disliked 'Under the Hood' in the comics, but the animated movie was great. I look forward to checking this out.

Meah.... With no sexual tension - there is no friendship between men and women. Either one or the other wants to fuck. I'm talking about friendship, not just two people having a cup of coffee once a month, etc.

Besides, personally, sense of humor is in the top of what I find attractive in a friend, and women don't have sense of humor 99/100 times.

What kind of humor do you like? Regardless, have you tried looking in a comedy club/improv group? Unless what you mean by 'sense of humor' is 'level of comfort to make jokes that would be considered offensive in an outgroup'. If that's the case, I'm sorry. Most women of that sort get taken quick, I think. They're hotter than hot crossed buns, at least here. I swear nerdy funny girls are more popular than any 10/10 model. This is a spectrum, though, not a dichotomy. You could be only 5% willing to bang, or something, and I think it's easy to have platonic friendships without it getting in the way. In addition, it's the 21st century. There's nothing preventing casual sex in friendships, other than the insecurities and hang ups of the people involved. And sure, as you get more experience, I feel like the libido gets closer to an on/off switch rather than ALWAYS READY TO GO.

Also, you're limiting yourself, here. What if it's a homosexual man and woman? What about a gay guy and a heterosexual woman, and he's not her type?

Okkupert has good production quality. The plot is passable, characters are complex, actors are decent (besides the American ambassador's accent) and cinematography is pretty great for a television show.

Yes.

Why trust your parents?

Trust no one. Don't trust yourself, either- you're the worst.

In other news, you should all avoid women. Women are beta. Men are alpha.

Therefore, the most alpha thing is to only have relations with other alpha men.

Rich Franklyn: Ex-middleweight champion

Earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and later earned a master's degree in education.

Take a look at why Nick Denis retired from MMA.

Also, it seemed like everyone I was watching the fight with suddenly liked MacGregor more because of how he took the loss, publicly.

I think the niche subcultures that the silent majority of this forum draws from are given to truly caring about things that aren't Trump or Islam.

In the past, we had plenty of orderly, regular forum denizens for the trolls to troll.

How can the trolls troll when there's no one to troll but trolls, though?

It's a difficult job.

Even Xant has given up. His fingers keep typing, but the passion is gone. He's just doing it out of inertia, now.

We're like a dysfunctional family that's stopped arguing around holiday dinners because Aunt Jen (who really gave a shit about your opinions on things) died last year, and now we just text at the table. Sure, there's the occasional half hearted snipe or put down, but we know each other well enough to play the responses in our head, and that's enough, really. That's what family is about- learning not to give a shit about the other person's offensive worldviews and petty attempts at status through conflict.

Allow me to recapture some of that old magic. LESHMA, WHY WOULD YOU DISAGREE WITH MY CONCLUSION THAT SPY WAS A GREAT MOVIE. WHY?

So after a lot of deliberation and some delays, I'm probably going to Germany. Starting around Kaiserlautern, heading to Berlin, then Bremen. I might go to Prague depending on ticket prices, from Berlin. Cut down 'Food, Beer, and Hiking' to 'Food, with some Beer'.

Alternatively, I might randomly end up in Italy or Turkey, at which point I'll be really lost.

I recently read Blindsight. It's definitely a niche taste in sci-fi, because it blends hard scifi with some over the top elements. Still, it manages to explore the nature of human decision making, our relationship with technology, and philosophy of mind through the frame of an otherwise classic first contact story. The protagonists themselves are transhumans that are alien enough to entertain...so it's pretty crazy that the author manages to deliver something more alien for the actual, you know, aliens.

Looking for graphic novels/comic book series. Stuff I've read recently, past year or so:

Star Wars: Legacy
The Authority
The Invisibles
Sandman (Neil Gaiman)
Orbiter
Descender
Transmetropolitan
Crossed
Preacher
The Multiversity
New 52 Future's End
Saga
Black River
Two Brothers (and some other stuff by the duo that writes it)

And honestly a ton of other stuff I'm not mentioning or have forgotten, sorry. Looking for one-offs or series, old or new, to check out. I hope you've got some recommendations Kalam.

Okay. Based on that, try:

Gotham Central
Southern Bastards (especially if you like you BBQ and sweet tea)
Planetary (though you might be Warren Ellis'd out. if that's the case, don't check it out)
The Garth Ennis/Steve Dillon Punisher MAX and/or Hitman
Letter 44
The Manhattan Projects (if you don't like the first issue, don't continue. it's a typical Hickman convoluted stuff, but if you liked Multiversity...)
Prophet (21st century one, not the nineties original)
The Wake
Top 10 (Alan Moore/Gene Ha/Zander Cannon)
Astro City (probably the recent stuff)
Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye (really. it is beyond anything the subject matter deserves)

Addendum: The Wicked + The Divine

I just finished reading Star Wars Battlefront: Twilight Company. It was quick read so a good beach book or one to take on vacation. They create new characters and bring them in contact with background characters from the original trilogy. I've never played Star Wars Battlefront but I'm guessing a lot of the weapons they mention are in the game so that's the tie-in.  8/10

Also recently finished The Best Digital Marketing Campaigns in the World II. It spotlights a bunch of creative advertising campaigns and lays out how they were carried out and talks about the agencies behind them. It took me a long time to make it through this one because I kept on stopping to look up the agencies mentioned in the book and seeing what they were currently up to.  8/10

I'll check it out.

Passage of Darkness: The Ethnobiology of the Haitian Zombie

Covers the pharmaceutical mechanisms of creating a "zombie" as well as in-depth reasearch on the  folklore, social structure, and history of Haiti. It's informative but not dry and boring. If you like pop culture zombies check this out, Haitian zombies are point of origin for our stories of the undead over the last 100+ years.

Holy crap Witchcraft, how do you even find these books.

I've been thinking of doing this, which is a much cheaper alternative to buying new shoes every god damn six months.

Bensai, I've been playing today, and noticed Goblins using 'Nigerian' in a derogatory manner. If you're going to come up with a half-baked excuse, figure out what a thermometer is. Don't do it again.

Kaliboy, if you're going to get offended at someone using a national adjectival form as an insult, you should probably refrain from using a neurodevelopmental disorder as an insult.
