First they came for the Aussies, and now they came for me. Apparently they snuck this in (in different markets) over the course of three years.

I should have known this day would come sooner rather than later.

It's a fun asymmetrical game, whether you're a diver who cares for nothing but treasure or a shark that just wants to eat something less leathery than surfers and seals. I'm impressed by how (relatively) balanced it is for an asymmetric game, though only time (and organized clans) will reveal future balance issues. Admittedly, there are a few sharks that are sub-par compared to the staples, but all's well on the diver's side.

What? No, of course it's a game. It's under 'games' in steam. That's like the Bible, guys.

Seriously, though, this is a neat piece of software. While there are other programs that achieve the same effect, none of them do it in 3D, and none of them allow you to flip a virtual table. Also, there is a larger game library within it (from mods) than any of it's competitors.

Whether it's Werewolf, Cards Against Humanity, or Monopoly, you can sit around a table with your internet friends and play games designed for meatspace.

SO MANY GAMES, GUYS, SO MANY GAMES

General Discussion / A cRPG Memory Capsule
« on: February 24, 2015, 01:56:48 am »
Hello chadzians,

I intend to make a video composed of gameplay (and other random associated things) and interviews with at least a dozen people. I will (if work doesn't screw me) start recording (anything that needs to be recorded) on April 12. I will begin looking at submissions on April 6.

I'm looking for:

Accounts of mostly positive memories of cRPG. You can record these yourself if you'd like, preferably on a .wav or .flac file, but .mp3 works too. Alternatively, I can record these while I'm recording you playing.
Any old videos you may have, preferably with narration.
Any interesting anecdotes you want to tell.
Thoughts on (not overly negative) ways cRPG affected your real life.
Shoutouts to old players that you lost contact with.
Anything else you think might be appropriate.

Thank you!

Please send me files or indicate a desire to be recorded to my forum message inbox.

Kaelaen showed this to me, today.

Promises almost everything I want in a game. Sandbox. DMs. In-depth economic system. Engaged crafting. Roleplay. Physics based combat. NPC worlds that react to PC action. Will it happen? PROBABLY NOT.
