So i get it you love your night time and wont take it out but do we seriously need it for 4 maps in a row? I suffered it for 3 but 4 maps in a row is just too much give us a chance to see!

Detective Frank Drebin is coming back with Ed Helms on board to portray Leslie Nielsen’s character in Paramount’s reboot of “The Naked Gun” comedy franchise.
The studio has tapped the scripting team of Thomas Lennon and R. Ben Garant — best known for the “Night at the Museum” and “Reno 911″ franchises, to write the screenplay as a new spin on the Drebin character.
Helms starred in “The Hangover” trilogy and “We’re the Millers” and recently recently wrapped “Stretch” opposite Chris Pine and Patrick Wilson. He stars in the romcom parody “They Came Together,” which will premiere at Sundance, opposite Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler.

So this is an absolute classic and Leslie Nielsen was a legend. What do you guys think?

All i can say is wtf?

A man whose wife and daughter were killed by a teenage drink-driver has spoken of his anger after the boy's wealthy background was used as a defence and he avoided prison.

Ethan Couch, 16, could have faced up to 20 years behind bars after losing control of his vehicle and killing four pedestrians in Fort Worth, Texas.

Instead, he was given 10 years' probation - plus rehab - after his lawyers argued his reckless behaviour was due to "affluenza".

The condition is said by some psychologists to affect young people who come from rich families.

He told State District Judge Jean Boyd the mother had spoiled him, telling the court: "Her mantra was that if it feels good, do it."

Couch, whose blood-alcohol was three times the legal limit at the time of the crash, had admitted he was drinking and driving and confessed to intoxication manslaughter.

the condition, which was popularised in the 1990s, was attributed to children with a sense of entitlement, and who are irresponsible and sometimes use drugs and alcohol.

Diplomacy / Ode Declares war on Wessex! (make EU drama here)

Yes Anglo-Saxon fans the French have decided to break our nap and declare war on the Kingdom of Wessex. (use this thread if your going to flame or drama or troll so we can read and enjoy)

King Aethelstan was confused by the messenger as to the reasons for the war as they seem dubious at best.

The King was informed that due to an attack on Vayejeg owned by the faction less Fenris_Millzius that our NAP is terminated and they expect to retake Vayejeg.
due to my surprise that a non existent strategus faction can be included in a nap without actually being mentioned once in said nap or the ODE faction page i had to request authentication of the declaration of war which I received.

Because Ode are breaking a perfectly good nap for suspect reasons Wessex calls for roster support when the time comes and any aid would be appreciated

Long story short:

Fenris is nowhere listed as an ODE ally. Not in any msgs to me or in their faction thread.
The guy was and is in no strat faction so wouldn't come under a strat nap anyway.
It took Ode 10 days to decide it broke a nap rather than say anything at the time of the battle. (even had ODE strat member ask to join my side of the battle)


my suspicion is that after the battle Fenris (kinngrimm) went around QQing and asking for aid and that to get a clan to break a nap for a clan that doesn't exist on strat or hold any fiefs that a sizeable gift probably was promised.  Ode are welcome to dispute this and provide more sound reasoning or there will be no drama

my one man faction may be too hardcore for Fenris to fight alone but I will fight with Anglo-Saxon determination! May the blood flow and the Shieldwall stand strong!

British and US spies infiltrated online game worlds, such as World Of Warcraft, believing that terrorists could be using them to communicate with each other, according to new claims.

The US National Security Agency (NSA) and the UK's GCHQ reportedly used in-game characters to carry out their surveillance and tried to recruit informants.

The alleged snooping is revealed in the latest documents from whistleblower Edward Snowden published by the Guardian, the New York Times and the ProPublica site.

Nelson Mandela has died, South African President Jacob Zuma has confirmed.

Mr Zuma said "the nation has lost its greatest son", adding "he is now resting. He is now at peace."

Mr Mandela, who was 95, will get a state funeral and national flags will be lowered to half mast, said Mr Zuma.

He had been receiving medical treatment for the last three years and for the last six months has been critically ill.

He served as South Africa's first black president from 1994 to 1999, after spending nearly three decades in prison.

Prime Minister David Cameron said: "A great light has gone out in the world.

"Nelson Mandela was a hero of our time. I've asked for the flag at No10 to be flown at half mast."

A sad day for africans.

Strategus General Discussion / Conducting a siege!

So as some know ive been running solo on strat (having never done anything except farm troops/gold) so i have some more questions for people <3

Conducting a siege! As is obvious i cant wave attack so cant really take anything but im curious as to what kind of gear attackers bring?

I haven't been in a castle attack for a long while im usually defending so id like a rough idea of what you guys (UIF Coalition etc) all take to sieges do you take enough for a certain amount of catapults + towers or just as much as you can?

I understand if its uber secret clan stuff

I humbly request strat battles be bumped back 24 hours to allow people to experiment with the new builds/gear/servers sorted out.

I don't want to see strat battles ruined because people turned up just before and still have 3/3 or don't want to attend because they are still figuring out a build and dont want to lock themselves into something they then want to change.

I understand if you don't want to but doesn't hurt to ask ^^

What the DVD turned out to be was something much more than Sabine, or anyone else, probably would’ve imagined, and something that certainly has found a widespread audience on the internet over the last month or so – it was a film called “PROPAGANDA”, a documentary about capitalism, imperialism, mass manipulation of western culture for the purpose of commodification, and how it permeates every aspect of the lives of blissfully ignorant, borderline zombie masses.

And jesus, is it on the fucking money.

the first part is some extract the full film is lower down. Is it North korean? who knows maybe maybe not pretty fun watch either way.

ok probably come up loads but i wanted to trade my Lordly Gjermundbu Helmet for among other arabian style helmets a Lordly Turban helmet

my problem? There are two in the list which are named identically! (and you cant see pictures when selecting from drop down list) now i wanted the heavier one so i clicked the second in the list which i think is right, Do trades just take into account the name? could someone accept it using the weaker Turban helmet or not?


 my suggestion is to change the name of one of these:

General Discussion / Awlpikes and 2D vs Hoplite which do you fear more?

So your fighting a mob or solo and you come across awlpikers hoplites etc question is which do you fear more?

We were having this discussion in IRC  and it seems there was a divide.

Tydeus and fraichedan both said hoplites were more problamatic me and n30 were of the opinion that awlpikes mainly and other 2h are much scarier to fight both in 1 on 1 and ganks.


Personally i fear a good awlpiker in a gank more than a good hoplite but its just me. my question is what would do you fear more. Im not sure if NA has fewer awlpikes more hoplites etc etc so im making it NA/EU poll ^^. Opinions welcome maybe i just suck at fighting awlpikes.
