Suggestions Corner / Short Term Trades

Possibly mentioned before, but I think the current market situation is pretty dire. We have so many people that want to rip people off on trades with adding 20-150k on top of a simple +3 for a +3.

So how about cutting out the seriousness of trading with a simple +3 for a +3 with a date where the items are both returned to the players. No gold, you just get to try out different looms when you want

I should add this would be an optional trade type, so you can still do old trade types

Pretty much no requirements
One handers are very good in their own right without adding ranged as well

A good melee player has the best of both worlds. Great ranged, decent armour, good melee. How is this a balanced class?

The Walking Dead Season 2. Decent start to the new series
The Wolf Among Us. Not bad. Nice presentation and story
Shadowrun Returns. Pretty mediocre in its individual areas imo, but a good game overall. Worth a play through
Game Dev Tycoon. Casual but fun for a bit
Europa Universalis 4. Epic

Maybe 3 years too late, but how about doing something about xbow builds? They are utter BS with how good they are in melee and ranged

If HA/HX had to use lighter horses with less armour the game would be balanced better imo.

They would have more realistic counters. Ranged could shoot the horse, getting too close to infantry gets them dehorsed etc. And they would have to use their primary attack to deal damage

Suggestions Corner / Bring back keeping weapons after end of round

When I first started you got to keep any weapons you found on the battlefield for the next round. So as a guy with 0 looms it was a great way to use a more powerful weapon or to just experiment with different gear. But it had some bug that made it so you didn't pay upkeep for the previous round or something so they removed it. This made the rounds play out just a little more boringly and unnecessarily weakened guys without looms. Think you could drop the weapon before the end so you spawned with normal gear, so that wouldn't be a problem.

So bring it back if the bugs can be fixed please. Its not a case of making the winning team much stronger since looms are everywhere now anyway, the only people who benefit are those with no weapon looms, which is fair imo. You should only spawn with the weapon in your hand though so you can't drop one for your team, and you only spawn with that and have to pay upkeep for it. Feeling like you have to use the same weapons all the time just because they are your only looms also gets quite boring, especially with melee multiclass

A few patches back bows and xbows got buffs to +0 versions, while +1, +2 and +3 got stat reductions. I'm not asking how much to tweak stats in poll, more whether something should be changed at all with melee looms

Why do xbows shoot straight through my 4 skill shield like it is paper and do damage to me?

Why are xbowers regular infantrymen when they put away their xbow?

What would happen if we front loaded the gains from looms? I think its the wrong way around how it is now. Should be the main bonus from +1, then a bit more from +2 and finally a tiny gain with +3. As it is now it only serves to buff guys that are already very experienced at the game, and nerf guys that are new and trying to get better. We should make the game more welcoming to new guys and take out some of the artificial buffs that make the game easier for guys simply because they played longer

The economy would change a bit and loom points would become less valuable but it would be worth it for making the game less about gear/build crutching and more about how you play

Reduce the weight of shields when its just worn on the back, especially for the cheaper shields. This would allow people to take a shield without it impacting your main role as much.
