When Huey posted "exterminate white people" on the night before the tragic shooting in Connecticut there were plenty of people +'ing his post. Wheres the outrage over that?

http://forum.meleegaming.com/diplomacy/a-humble-request-for-support-in-our-invasion/msg675710/#msg675710

If you gave a plus to that post are you, in fact, happy that the "white" kids got exterminated?

It was hard to get outraged over it because I didn't know what the fuck he was talking about to be honest, but i certainly didn't plus such a post.

Remove the retreat command to avoid someone locking down and retreating.  And if attackers are going to hug spawn then that sounds like a legitimate tactic.  In this situation the attackers are engaging with caution rather than throwing everything they have into the fray, a tactic that has been used in siege warfare historically.

So, apparently comparing someone on the forums to a mass murder is totally cool here.

The worst part is that there is a small section of this community that actually listens to Smoothrich and thinks that he is completely not crazy.  It took me a while to figure out why certain people always have been so hostile to me in game but then i realized that all of them are on that armory list that was posted for hero party.  Kesh might take things ultra seriously at times but he doesn't make jokes about children being shot.

Pretty sure I told him I would make sure the Fallen armors never saw the light of day unless Fallen made a new thread fully apologizing to me for every bit of slander made on the forums, since they threw in a fallen oil money reference in the title.

I stand by my statement.

First, we use oil money to help fund crpg servers, then we use oil money to hire a graphic artist to make in game armors.  We have always used our oil money for good rather than evil, yet you try to turn anyone who will listen against us...  Foreshame.

I must have written the opening post poorly, let me clarify.  I want the battle times to remain the same, just when it is over it ends where defender is still in control of the fief.  Lets say Kesh attacks a city with 5000 troops.  He fails and runs out of time with 3k troops left.  The defender retains control of the fief and gets a portion of the gear used in the fight.  Kesh keeps his 3000 troops and whatever gear was not used.  Then Kesh can schedule another battle 24 hours out.  No poop socks required and more fights!!!!

PD 4 over bow requirement is not calculated. So 15 PD is not really viable.

The +4 power draw limitation related to bow requirement is only for damage done, not for power draw WPF reduction, so a 15 PD build is actually pretty viable.  Much much better than any other strength archery build.

I don't really get why the defenders win when time runs out.  This seems to be an unrealistic and rather shitty mechanic.  It would make a lot more sense to have an army withdraw and not lose any more troops/equipment or perhaps a small amount like 10% as a result of the route.  As it is now, the defender can put so many troops into a location that the attacker must cap flags to win and if they fail they lose everything.  If the timer running out was considered a tie then we would see more battles overall.  Some of the city/castle sieges might take multiple battles to win as the attacker would have to grind down enemy troops.  It would be more realistic as well since sieges typically were not over in a single battle historically.

The real problem is that when time runs out the defenders get everything.  If the battle just ended when time ran out this bug would have had much less of an impact.  I think it is pretty idiotic to claim that the bug affected the defenders just as much since they win if time runs out.  The bug wasted a lot of time.

Also I can't believe that so many of you people gave a  +1 to Smoothrich's post comparing Kesh to a school shooter.  That's pretty sick and crosses the line.  Maybe you people need to step back from the game.

oh no.. the cat is out of the bag. Kesh hates hero party. If you went around recording all the people who think many of your members are Dbags you would need a server farm

modify for my buddy zilla. I changed majority (which does not mean all) to many to help you out.

So true.  News flash lol, some people dislike hero party...  There is a reason why people would talk about attacking hero party in an open channel during a strat battle with no attempt at secrecy.  It's because they just don't care and it should have been pretty obvious already.  (Just my opinions)

Not to offend you HoC guys.. but I think you know that you aren't 2handed heroes and prefer to work as a group for better or worse.

Working well as a group is both a force multiplier and a difficult skill in and of itself.  I'd happily sign up HoC guys for any of my battles.  Much more valuable than the ticket wasting heroes who run off to fight and can't seem to listen to orders.

Btw: stopped reading Kinngrimms posts. Probably not alone in that.

Good move.  Nothing more dangerous than a clueless traitor.

Suddenly; the massive factions have taken over the thread to determine whos internet dick is larger. How many more threads shall be consumed before this reckless plague halts?

The only way to end it is by casting Smoothrich into the fires of Mount Doom.  And Partyboy, you have my bow.

General Discussion / Re: Where did you learn about Mount & Blade?
« on: December 20, 2012, 10:27:02 pm »
I heard from Loki about how great the original Mount and Blade was but just wasn't interested due to lack of multiplayer.  When I heard warband was coming out with multiplayer I bought it on release day.

All these problems would be solved if they would get rid of these retarded ladders and give us the old, full motion pulting ladders back.
