I really don't think that was necessary Teeth and tbh a little bit sick. How would you feel if your relatives or friends had been caught in a bomb blast, your off-hand manner with ill-timed attempts of humour would do you little good then

I think his point is that theres plenty of places to post things like this, no need to post it here however tragic it might be.

especially seeing the actual topic start only contains one word.

A team needs to be able to adapt to a certain situation, this means being able to swap character classes even if they do not have enough substitutes online to do this, this is why mains, alts and STF characters are all allowed.

Throwing is usually only effective in large quantities and is seen as a support weapon, maybe there should be some limits imposed on it but they should not be taking the range slots.

Your third point should be countered by the ability to use STF and alts as well.

Armour rule is a possiblity, though some more debate on that is needed.

Unless the cRPG team backed off, the official nations cup servers should still be available blackbow, most things are sorted except the teams.

Since i've still have had no word from Exxc and i no longer have the time or motivation to continue this alone, i've decided to stop organising this project, if there is anyone interested in taking over they should contact me. The nditions forum and other resources will stay available for those that want to take over this project.
Sorry that it had to go this way guys.

I'm just sour because even my favorite MMORPG ruleset of all time (Ultima Online) even started caving in and catering to the 12 year old cry babies and the casual gamers.  I miss non-instanced dungeons (you had to compete for resources).  I miss the loot drops in PvP (made you have to decide what was worth wearing into the world, less emphasis on pixel crack, and more emphasis on risk vs reward).  I miss the criminal system.  You could loot an actual player's corpse, but if they were a non-criminal, it would make you a criminal (and people could attack you or do other "aggro" actions on you like stealing from you, without them turning criminal).  If you killed too many friendlies, then you were marked as a Player Killer (basically a long term criminal).

The thing I don't miss, is the terrible combat system of "click to attack someone" and the macro whores.  But it did get a lot of things right, until ultimately, the World of Warcrack style of MMORPG took a strangle hold on the market.  Similar to BF/COD in FPS games.

Sound like you are playing a themepark MMO while expecting a sandbox MMO, plenty of sandbox mmos out there, not many of them are AAA titles though.

I've decided to delay the event start by a few weeks, exxc should be coming back soon so that i won't have to do everything myself anymore, as i simply no longer have the time to do that.

spectator mode is locked, only available for event admins, referees and streamers.
The horse archer rule is currently under review and we'll see more about in the coming test matches.

Hey guys, sorry for no updates in a while, have been quite busy.
I will post the groups and first weeks matches tomorrow, if i can contact cmp tomorrow then hopefully the servers can be fixed aswell, i will be on nditions TS during most of the day so if any captains have any questions or concerns they can contact me there.

Currently considering to make the first week of fights non group based test matches, to weed out some of the teams that still are not ready.

The first stage of the tournament will start on the 13th of August, from there on each team fights one match a week during for a period of 3-4 weeks, after this 8 teams will be selected for the following stage. this next stage is the knockout stage, this stage will last for another 3 weeks, note that ties are no longer possible during this stage. with tiebreaker rounds being played after the 16 rounds if necessary.

Each week of the tournament, two maps will be picked by the event team, all matches must be played on these two maps, out of these maps one map will be a 'closed' map and the other will be an 'open' map.

More info on the groups will be coming soon

we are also still looking for more referees and people interested in streaming.

as a final note, the 5 clan rule can be stretched (to 7) during a match if a referee agrees with it, i do not expect this to happen often as teams should be able to pick a time where most of them can be present.

Servers NC_cRPG_1 NC_cRPG_2 NC_cRPG_3 are now up, the map rotation will be uploaded to it soon so that teams can test the maps if necessary.
