Templars having some fun with ladders, building as high as we could possibly get, the highest tower we made had pretty much the maximum amount of ladders and took close to 10 minutes to climb without a horse :D. We were trying to have mid-air duels (which is quite hard because you have to jump off at the exact same moment). But then some random admin (Cookiemonster or something) entered and felt like 'removing a bug' and changed the map. We will have a video up soon with some of the things we did up there though.

I tried to build a large siege tower too, but always some jerks hit the construction site which makes a restart in throwing 85 construction material :(
Also if you trow from the side of the construction site it messes the whole thing up and you gotta start up new.

Joelturuz, we gotta meet, and build a siege tower to the sky!! :D

With this term (because of simplicity it calculates without air-friction) they should have been in a height of around 2825,28m (2,8 km or 1,7 miles)

With friction it would be considerably less, but still in the km's depending on the formula used in M&B. :)

Assuming Warband's terminal velocity for a naked guy is around the terminal velocity of a skydiver with his arms tucked in you'd come out with a rough total distance of about 1567 meters.  For those of us still using the old english system of measurement that's about 5139 feet or .97 miles.

actually there was one dude doing some calc in a thread (don't remember the where, sry)
and the calc goes this way, if u start with gen 1 and want to reach lvl35, the fastest way will be to go gen 7 and then stay with that :P

Hahah hilarious overly brave death by me there.  :lol: Wasn't in very good form yesterday. Distractions...  :|

Nice vid! I enjoyed watching that. In the first round you showed, the teamplay seems sound at the beginning. The big mistake on my part was to charge in with the infantry a bit too early when most weren't ready yet. I should have waited half a minute or so for my team to catch up.

Watching this makes me wanna go play again. See y'all tonight!  :P

Convert it with the AV program I mentioned, I think they even have a "Youtube format" which turns out well on the little big screen.  The last video I uploaded, which is three minutes  and some long, took about fifteen minutes to upload as it's 118MB.

You probably could, though I found AV extremely simple and easy to use.  It also has loads of odd formats, a few of which I tested when formatting my videos.

you guys are doing things the hard way.
Use Sony Vegas Movie Platinum 10.0
it also has a built in youtube renderer and uploader, that renders and uploads it at the same time with your youtube login.  took me like 5 min or less for the 250mb vid I posted on the last page at 1080p HD

I also use fraps.  thats pretty much the standard screen capture
I use 30FPS for recording .  its noticably smoother, and doesnt tax the machine during recording on larger battles.  also, most AVI or MP2/4 formats render at just over 27-29 fps so there is no need for more than that or you will just inflate your file sizes.

Some whine video  about the shield bubble.
All footages are made in version 0.212 with shield skill 6 (except for the first "i stand there and raise my shield" one).
Now with the latest nerf, i have these effects a bit more often during meele fights.
Well, i think two of them are heavy blocking errors or better weaknesses of the native game mechanics.

Well when the picture was taken we died at the same time (arrows on me and pike on the horse, or the other way round), but I doubt that your rhino-charger will ever die at the same time with you  :lol:

It's not always a guaranteed thing.  In a recent scrim with Acre I took a longbow shot to the brain in a Milanese Sallet and survived.  I was pretty sure it was a headshot, since it took out all but 3-ish points of health, and I couldn't see the arrow sticking out of anywhere.

These shots are taken while I was a heavy cavalry, as you could notice, the archers/xbow-ers are relentless in their quests of obliterating the already-almost extinct heavy cavs.

Help preserve the lives of heavy cavs by shooting at their horse instead of the riders themselves! :mrgreen:

Yay!  Its new clip day.
Had some fun with cav last week.  Overall, its harder than it looks.  And I think playing mele is easier.  BUt it is a lot of fun to criuse around and run over unaware players with a lance.

Pretty sure you should cap your FPS, I think that having an insanely high FPS = your GPU being alot hotter than it needs to be, I think I capped mine at 100, even above 60 there isn't much difference at all to the average human eye. I mean, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I remember long long long ago learning about too high FPS making your GPU hotter and thus degrading faster over time, which is why FPS caps/limiters are used in places. Consoles also use them alot because of that reason.

Which is why I capped mine at 100, because I can notice slight difference between 60-100, but all in all, it's not really a big difference, unless someone has an FPS that fluctuates under 60 and then over 60, which causes drag on the screen. This guy needs to cap his FPS unless he wants his GPU to burn out alot quicker than it's meant to lol.

As far as I know the human eye can only detect around 60 fps anyway so that's a stoik minimum to have a game run smoothly. I could be wrong but that's when I fail to see a difference, between 60 and 70.

In most games im satisfied with 40 and happy with 60+.. but in warband I have it capped at 150 with everything on max+realistic colors mod, never drops below 149 even when there are tons of corpses around or when im in a town... but when some process shows up in the background(I used heaven benchmark while playing warband for the lulz) and the fps goes to 100 I see a massive difference, almost like I'm watching a slideshow  :| Maybe the fps counter is broken?   :lol:

Well, Mte, you might just be one of the few people that can see the difference there, but maybe it´s not really 100fps with a Process in the background, maybe its laggy because of the process and so it seems like a slideshow(You know normal films have 25 FPS, so those would seem to you like a slideshow too if thats true)

Heroes of DTV
This happened aprox 20 mins ago on the DTV server, where i played together with an awsome team of 3 other dudes.
Kuddos and chestbump to Shadelacro, Duc_OLIVIERO_loliv and Sir_Proto for being an awsome group to play with on DTV, we made it yaaarrrr!!

yeah u only get ~50% of exp from what you would get in a battle server with x2 for one hour, tested it many times now, always ends up like this.
cus it takes to much time to kill all bots, cus they spawn to far away and also often bug and stand still and u end up getting to little exp.
same goes for the money, gain is very little, but repair is pretty much the same, so u end up loosing more money then in battle servers.
it's pretty much a for the lulz mode.

Leeching and trolling on EU2 is what Phil usually does when he's not sleeping or eating. So you'll catch him pretty easy. :D

chadz asked for "video materials"... so I filmed... Then, I MP chadz, I slapped him in Irc...no answer? So i made this (shitty) film... but if he wants videos (over 20 minutes or more) I can send it to him...

I know ^^ But as PEPE told me by pm, the music he found is shit ^^... I can only respect other's musical tastes, but this music don't shows the violence of the battle  :) (I liked to participate at this epic battle and kill some guys behind the shieldwall)
