If you like this thread, check out the old one. There were a lot of quality posts and it's the same stuff that's going to show up in here.

Post some cool images to inspire everyone to try a new class. Try it on your STF, respec, start an alt from scratch. Just switch things up! You can even post stuff that inspired/reminds you of your current character. Just post some cool warriors, dude.

We need more armors! More Armors for GOD OF ARMORS.... here some kazachs(not kazaks!) armors. Not that shit what we have(sorry for this words, but its really op, i am kazach, and for me its shame take that light clothes. I mean this one visitors can't see pics , please register or login

on texture u see Kazachs flag with Falke and Sun, its not true, in middle age, we wasnt one nation, we haved clans or tribes. Today we have one flag, but still we devide self on tribes, if u dont know name of u tribe, u are not kazach on eyes u brothers. Txh for attention  :mrgreen:
So we need this armors, i mean light, middle and heavy.

I try make them self. But iam noob XD

Don't think Naginatas are so straight and symmetrical for that length of the blade. The cutting edge should be more refined and thinner than the back edge. The one in your picture has both edges made to cut.  :)

A lot of the stuff I've posted is from http://scifi-fantasy-horror.com/ (http://scifi-fantasy-horror.com/) under the #fantasy tag. Lots of stuff that doesn't fit CRPG at all, but there's enough realistic character portraits to make it worth going through. The artists are linked on all the pictures there. Some of the landscape ones make for great desktop backgrounds.

The sipahi yawshan is one of my favorite body armors. It's beautiful. Zimke absolutely nailed it, looks exactly like the real thing.

It's actually camo mesh to hide the outline of their head. I thought of veiled chainmail helms when I saw it though :P

Glad to see this reincarnation of the character inspiration thread, because I really enjoyed the previous one.

So, I remember watching this South Korean movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275083/) ages ago. It's set in China during the fall of the Yuan dynasty, and the protagonist is basically a badass former slave who's rather skilled with what looks like a yari to me.

I did a search for fantasy historical knight armor, but the further I scrolled down, the less armor I saw and the more lightsaber, boobs, and batman I saw.... even batman with a lightsaber riding a shark. Whatever happened to shark repellent?

To be fair, I think some of those are single-use pistols that become very fancy clubs after you fire them once.

Right, looked like he had maybe 2 pistols, then 4 swords, a dagger/knife, a spear, and finally his shield. I really just want to know why he feels the need to carry 4 swords. So he can dual wield like a hollywood hero, throw them at someone (having them land tip-first, of course), only to rinse and repeat?

I think the painting is not just before battle, but maybe on march? See all soldiers probably caried multiple weapons when they were going on a campaign so in case they break or loose anything, but survive the fight, they have more weapons in their camp.

TONS of character inspiration in the Northlanders comics from Vertigo. (Active torrents exist, or you can grab the collections from Amazon (http://www.wallpaperhi.com/thumbnails/detail/20120112/Northlanders_3_1280x1024.jpg) pretty cheap.)
