I would like to become an Admin for the new NA servers for multiple reasons, and in no particular order:
While I was an Admin on the Acre server, I kept the place troll free and the incidents down to a minimum, yet never recieved a single complaint from how I handled things, neither from those I kicked/muted/Banned, nor from the owners. I feel that I should be able to continue that with the new servers.
I am not a "twitch/impulse" admin, and prefer to hand out the minimum level of control to solve a problem. If someone is merely flooding the chat with insults, I think a simple mute would suffice if a warning did not make them stop. Kicks would be handed out for frequently then bans, of which I believe should only be applied to actual problem cases.
While I have a reputation for being a bit of a troll on the forums, I have yet to grief on any server, and have yet to show up in any of the "Ban/Unban" sections of this forum. I do understand that the primary intent of this game is to have fun, and that fun should not come at the expense of others.
I have yet to develop any grudges against any clan or member of this community, which should help as a Game Administrator should be as impartial as possible.
I prefer to uphold not only the spirit of the law, but also how it is written and not "interpret" it to my liking. I follow the rules as they are presented, not as I would wish them to be. I care about the community.
I play often, multiple hours a day every day (besides a few saturdays). I should be able to maintain a proper presence.
Lastly, I would like to help contribute towards this community that has helped me relax on innumerable evenings, and this would be a nice way for me to "give back" as I understand that being a Game Admin is not a "perk" but rather an important responsibility.
I would not like to be an admin, so I find this the proper reason to become one. I play erratically throughout the week, depending on when I am carrying poo specimens from one area in the hospital to another. I recommend that I only be allowed to admin during the daylight, for when the night comes the booze enters my streams, and we all know that when the streams cross, bad things happen. I also am absolute when giving out justice (as Astralis members can attest to from being an admin in their TS).

As a well respected cav player in this community, I enjoy lancing peasants in spawn and catapulting things in strat battles. I have had some admin experience in the old haven servers way back when. Dont do much siege, but I tend to find myself in na 1 and strat battles several hours a week.

Heyy, I could do this again! I did a pretty fair job back on Acre and the community servers! I've been playing a lot more recently since coming back from my vacations, and I'd love to help out!
I would like to nominate Raven_Relit and Raven_Zan, both longtime players, honest/anti-cheater on public servers and strategus, and very observant.
It would be a extremely bad idea to have me as a admin in this community. I would be heavy handed with enforcement, which is something the devs and general admin guidelines do not support. Zan would be a much better choice.

I have decided to apply for this position due to the general lack of adminship I see whenever playing.
I have been a part of this community for a little over 3 years, but only recently started to become a regular. I have seen this mod grow overtime and I myself have grown with it. Being that I am a relatively new face, and not one that everyone greets upon entering any server, I think it helps me remain neutral when making decisions. Countless times I have seen 'famous' players get away with acts that others would be kicked / banned for. I am not part of any clan other than my own private banner clan, save for my rarely-used alts. Regardless of being in a clan or not, I would never play favorites. I would probably punish a friend before a stranger anyways, as I hold them to a higher standard. Also, I might have gone on record as being an "admin-hater" simply because I am rather vocal in my beliefs and would therefore hopefully bring some minor, but much-needed changes to the system. For too long has the admin circle appeared to be a group of besties in a clubhouse who have pulled up the rope ladder, letting the rest of us to play in the mud.
For the record, I mostly play NA_7 and NA_2, and only rarely venture into NA_1. And to be honest I almost never see any admins in siege or dtv; I only ever encounter them in NA_1 (save for Desire who occasionally wonders into dtv).
Applicable Traits:
- Level-headed
- Never rages (its just a game, after all)
- Able to see through lies and deception
Prior bans:
- None (as far as i can recall, anyways) except for a couple minor ones given from Desire all in good fun
Anyone who made the decision to join HoC doesn't have good enough judgement to be admin.
A shining example of why we need more unbiased admins, and why you are no longer one. Unlike you, I don't judge people by what banner they wear, as everyone should be treated as an individual.

Hey, I'd like to apply for admin because this is my favourite game/mod and figure I may as well help with administration. I'm 18 from Ontario and I've been in the community for over 1 and a half years playing almost daily and have only received 1 ban (A joke by Desire). I am fairly unbiased and have experience administrating in the Napoleanic Wars DLC. I was an admin on all official servers and also on 2 of the more played servers ran by the community. I check the forums a few times a week but am not a regular poster, Am active on strategus and my favourite server is NA2 But I play mainly on NA1 because of low siege pop.

I've been an admin on the ATS servers when they were around and I did well upholding the rules.re-submitting mine.
I play almost everyday, if you play NA then you've seen me on.
I am active in strat battles and I mostly play battle but I do play DTV and Siege when there are enough people on for it (about 20+ in my opinion)
I am very well familiar with the in-game rules.
If I were to be chosen to receive adminship, I would not be biased towards or against any players.

Well, if the openings are still around, I'd like the opportunity to become a trial NA Administrator.
I'm here to have a good time. I don't think anyone here isn't. Some people though get too zealous with their fun antics though, thus taxing other peoples time and patience, and need some guidance. That is where I think I can help out. I don't want to see anyone permanently banned from the community but I'm sure a mute, or a swift kick will be sure to grasp some attention and correct some peoples behavior.
I think the normal spiel here is "I am unbiased". Well, that being a given for anyone who wants to be taken seriously, I won't go further into that. I see some current admins give leeway to a few people, unfortunately. Thankfully though, I do see some sticking to their job description. I'm banking on the latter being the kind of people you wan't around (directed towards the community).
I'm no hard-ass. But some times enough is enough. When the warnings don't bring people out of the clouds, elevated levels are sometimes necessary, for every ones sake. Not going to get all red faced and mute people who show their nerd sperg with the ever constant "badmin" call outs. I laugh at most of them when I see them. The admins we have now are just doing their job for the servers community, most of the time. Can't blame them for doing what they have to.
I've been around for a little over a year now. I have had some server control panel experience in the past. I could say with some confidence that I know my way around the NA server block. Thought I might throw my ticket into the pot and see if it gets pulled. If it doesn't, at least I have the opportunity to try and try again.

Like everyone else i have people i get along with and people who just hate me. If picked as admin i would have to push that aside.
I tend to play DTV a lot even when its under populated. Since im really active there i would make sure leechers would be kicked from the server! It's so annoying when kick polls are off attracting leechers.

I am 46, immature in a good way, and usually more relaxed than butthurt. Playing this mod forever (main is gen 33... ;-) ), usually on NA2 or since that is dead way too often, NA1.
I am on a lot, usually during morning/daytime/early evening for NA users (Paraguay is a few hours early compared to US)
I am useless as an archer and worse in melee, so I am dead a lot and have sufficient time to be worst badmin 2014.
I know the challenges of being an admin (I ran forums in the past and also admined a game or two...), so not easy to offend.
Promise: uphold the rules in a relaxed, but still strict (where it needs to be) way, also against those who feel they are above the law.
...and carpet ban melee at start of every round, ofc. :mrgreen:
The three people with the highest votes in this entire thread still have not been contacted for a chance to be admin. I'm not calling anyone out here, but the people directly affiliated with the already functioning admins are being chosen instead. Half of CHAOS is already an admin, even though none of their resumes in this thread came close to the top 3.
How about instead of disregarding people like Dexxtaa (who is part of the top 3 people in this thread who people voted YES), we give these people a shot. I understand it's easier just to recruit from your own ranks, but it's hardly fair and highly detrimental to an already dwindling community. I'm pretty sure it's time to change things up.
Although I suppose he can just hide out in Paraguay if we try to hunt him down for admin abuse.
Popularity doesn't make a good admin. Dexxtaa was an admin, and he no longer is.

There are actually a bunch of admins who aren't in Chaos. Are you guys upset because a lot of them are players that Canary actually knows and trusts? I don't really follow the logic. It seems more like you all are lobbying for more admins from Remnant than anything else tbh.
Sauce has made a valid point that, most people who are chosen to be an administrator are only those who are directly affiliated with the current admin team. Now, this makes sense, to choose people you already know, however where does that leave the rest of the community? Little to no chance, unfortunately. It's a bit unfair, I'd like to see some people like Hirlok get admin, maybe dynaMike or Jedae. All good dudes, play often, never seen them break the rules personally. Why not give some other people outside of the current admin community a shot?

We have seen what happens when one clan admins NA in majority, it was called the ATS-NA server and it was a failure.

It isn't. Likewise, the amount of upvotes said post receives does not play a part. Dexxtaa lost his admin knowingly in a way that he accepted. He did things admins shouldn't do and is now doing things no player should do, the amount of up votes he's getting on his request to get reinstated do not change the fact that he is not a good candidate.

This is what I've been trying to get across to people. There are a ton of good dudes in HG, Acre, Chevaliers, Raven, MB, Frisia, and the list goes on. There are also a lot of potentially great admins who are clanless, and my whole argument is that, these people should at least get a chance. I'm not "lobbying" for more admins from the Remnants, I just want to see more admins from different groups. A more diverse admin community could do a lot of good.

I have been playing for over a year now and doubt I will stop anytime soon.I am still very interested in an Admin position if one is available or opens up in the future.
I am an unbiased player who has never been kicked/banned/muted or verbally warned.
I am level-headed and have no problem accepting criticism and/or judgement from the community.
I check the forums frequently and would be available on IRC 14-16hrs a day.
My biggest "selling point" is that I am not only on at peak hours or midday. I play quite a bit between the hours of 1am to 5am when I rarely see any admins around to keep the late night crowd in check.

@Canary: Your post cleared things up regarding Dexxtaa, but what of implementing new admins on some sort of trial, or test phase? No one is really concerned with Chaos and how many admins your clan had before or after you were put in charge, what we're concerned with, is that great candidates are not getting the chance they deserve, and we're wondering if you're going to do anything about this?
I know that if something bad happens and I wasn't there to see what happened, I am hesitant to issue bans left and right without the full picture and sometimes ask them to put a ban thread up. I also admit that I'm pretty lenient towards tomfoolery amongst teammates that know each other as long as it's not something like intentional TKs in the middle of the round or griefing the team. With me most of the time outside of hardcore griefing, 2 strikes and you're out since I don't find kicks very effective against non-leechers. We're new and still getting used to things, too. Oddly enough, my stance has more similarities with Dexxtaa's than some of the stricter viewpoints.
Rhalzo also watched me get team wounded to the death right at spawn by shana. He banned him for 1 hour. This was at around 3 am. Jeez 1 hour ban at 3 am. Very nice.

I agree. If we have more admins that represent a larger diversity of the NA cRPG community, perhaps there will be less pettiness, shittiness, and griefing on the servers.

Thanks for the support in reinstating me as an administrator, everyone. But while I appreciate the support, I clearly will not become one again. I've served my time, and I'm happy to say that I'll be supporting the community where I can, as long as it lasts. Not like I'm a hospitality management graduate or anything.

I have never been muted, banned, kicked and I have a firm grip on the rules and regulations. I understand that being an admin in this game means that there are only the rules and there is no favoring one side or the other. I understand that friends do not follow a different set of rules and will not receive special treatment. That being said I feel I could benefit our current admin team as I am easy to get a long with and take criticism very well. I very actively monitor the forums and am in game for at least 4 hours a day.

Why do I want to be an Admin?: I have been a member of the community for several years now and it has recently come to my attention that a large number of our admins have recently gone inactive. I was talking with desire in an attempt to resolve a reoccurring conflict in NA1 which turned into a conversation to the decrease in admin activity which later lead to my decision to create this application. She gave me her approval stating "You'll probably make a better admin than I did" and I proceeded to converse with Jeade on various roles of being an Admin.
All in all the main reason I would like to be an admin is due to the decrease in admin activity and the lack of policing on NA1.
Why choose me?
-I am a highly active member of the community and have been for awhile.
-I am from a clan which currently does not have any members with adminship.
-I have a fairly clean ban record.
-Finally I do not believe in excessive punishment and plan to be as fair as possible.

I'll keep this short and sweet, I'm hoping to help the community by becoming a more active admin since so many are busy and not around lately. I've played the mod for over two years and have a great understanding of the rules and guidelines. I'm a frequent forum visitor and can be caught playing at any time of the day, early mornings, prime time, and even late late at night (:/). I understand the need to treat all players fairly and to the same standards when participating in rule breaking activity, I believe in the warn-kick-warn-ban method as previously stated by others. To be honest, my activity would probably just be limited to kicking afks/leechers, and they're generally not that big of a problem with the new flag system in place (unless flags break).

I could write about how great of a person I am, my qualificationsand I could say that I am the best person for the job. But in all honesty, I believe that I would be an admin who would be hated by the community, an admin that would be called "badmin" simply because he would uphold the rules and standards of the community, and no matter who the perpetrator is, he would use a system as follows to deal with them. When I joined: I joined the forum May 20 2012, and have been playing C-rpg ever since.
Why I would like to be considered for Admin: I believe that I am a fair person and will follow the rules as stated and make sure the rules are followed, I have played this game for a little more than two years and have not once been banned or kicked for any wrong doing. I have no enemies in the community and I like most everyone who plays, although I am not well known I believe that some new admins are needed to help out the veteran admins with the mass of complaints that come in from the players, also with the new Revival patch I feel that there will be a influx of new players who will be unaware of the rules and I can lend a hand in keeping an eye on the servers and inform the new players of the rules or direct them to the rules on the site if they so need.
In the end it's up to you if I am granted admin powers or not, but please take into consideration what I have said.
I'm willing to shape up and play like a nice boy just to get an active admin on the servers.
I think I'm active, even-minded, and laid back enough make a decent admin so I'm putting my name forward. There are others more qualified for the position but too many are usually afk these days. I've never received so much as a warning in the 3 years I've been active. I regularly play in all active NA servers. I am capable of hearing two sides of an argument and making an informed decision. I play hard but my temperament is laid back; everyone's cool with me long as they are not being intentionally disruptive.
I love this mod but its lack of active admins is hurting our already dwindling community. So now I ask not what cRPG can do for me but what I can do for cRPG. *cue inspiring music*

Sven1 came back for about 3 rounds before the server got trolled; his response was something along the lines of "gone for 3 months and this is what I come back to". We shouldn't have to contact you on steam; by the time you guys log on the damage has been done and the ppl are gone. There should be at least some basic schedule to ensure primetime is covered.

I don't know if they've said it explicitly, but I'm sure that the current admins are going to review whoever the community selects to become an admin. It does seem telling that almost all of the candidates belong to only like two different clans.
I don't know how much you play, but I've been on quite a bit lately, and I've only noticed poophammer online at all. So that's one reason why NA could use another couple of admins. Not that there's anything wrong with poop. There should just be more of them online.

I have thought about this for a while and would like to put my name in for an admin position. I would love to do it, am definitely active enough, and can definitely make the commitment to being a just enforcer of the rules. I already do my best to minimize trolling and negative behaviour in my faction and would love to be able to help the community as a whole with trolls/griefers. I cannot speak too much for the EU community but I think I can safely say I am well acquainted with the majority of the community NA side.
I am easy to contact and certainly could put in a presence in IRC chat. I can have access to the website/forums all day weekdays and about 70% of weekends. I am very active on NA servers often playing for hours daily. I am also very active in strategus battles. As far as taking criticism, I feel I am generally exposed to a fair amount in the community anyways. I do not forsee this being a problem. I would have no problem warning/kicking/banning any member of the community breaking the rules. This would extend to my faction as I do not want any of my members breaking the rules anyways.
I am active most days, play by the rules, and would not hesitate to enforce them against friend or not.

Lol. Sorry you'll get no sympathy from me, really sick of admins complaining about the community (as without the community they would have no power), whether explicitly or implicitly as here. It's not as though everyone else doesn't get trolled. If anything people lay off or kiss ass to admins out of fear or frustration (generally).

I think we can all safely say we appreciate having active admins, the problem is when they don't act like admins (dupre and poophammer, I didn't really see much rule breaking when tristan was on). I can't say they never perform their duties since I'm not always watching them, but I can say that when I am online they are usually ignoring blatant rule breaking such as tking and stuff like that. Although I was very relieved when I saw poophammer actually use him admin powers to stop leechers and delayers, its rarer then I'd like it to be. Although I don't think I'd like ban happy admins I'd like to see more warnings and kicks like when Witchcraft is on. Then again maybe I'm just not on to see it and everything I just said is incorrect, either way I think this is relevant to the current topic.

It should be an obligation to be in CHAOS to be an admin. Jeade can you change your banner to the old chaos banner, and every admin should join. You know for ol' times sake when Chaos ran the mod and canary 1 v 1 NA and won.

I don't expect any admins to "save us" but I do expect them to help out with some of the ridiculousness that occurs on the low pop. servers. Poophammer, when he's been on has been doing a great job at that. I haven't played with the other admins on yet. We all get what you're trying to say, you've typed it enough. yes it certainly is, ive yet to see someone actually put a stop to it though, most admins were picked for their popularity, IE there will ALWAYS be players that can get away with certain things since they are friendly with admins. i think we have what we have and will have to make do with it, its nice to hope and dream, then there is just being naive.
like i said, u guys want admins so bad, make everyone on that list an admin, and see what happens...

The recent racist shitstorm is really more so because of the admins trying so hard to clamp down on it. The other day when Sentri was banning Havelle it caused absolute uproar. People were throwing out slurs left and right and there really wasn't anything that could be done about it. It is sad that when an admin is trying to solve a problem that there ends up being a larger problem.
I am not an admin, nor do I wish to be. I feel like that is too much responsibility at this time for me. I want to come into a server and troll while I take a break from my schoolwork or my job. I do think that things could change to make the community better and hopefully make it grow again.

- A bunch of people already thought I was admin due to Hungry and I being IRL butt-buddies.
- I have seen a lot of admin work first-hand due to Hungry and I playing in the same room often.
- I have also seen less-than-ideal admin usage (or non-usage) recently and would like to help fix that shit, yo.
