Title: half-swording speed fail?
Post by: verinen on January 06, 2011, 07:24:48 pm
Don't you think that speed of half-swording is weird? It gives -8 to speed, so my sword has now 85 speed. It's like some kind blunt wepaon  o.O
When I take my sword like in your "half-swording" from cRPG I feel I can move it even faster, not slower- beacause of weight distribution... You can try it with something long and heavy in your home too.
I'm not whinnig, I just like realism

I'm 1H, but I think they failed in their attempt on half-swording.  8-)

I'm 1h, but I keep a 2h alt char.  When using my Longsword, I tried the half-sword mode.  I think it's very interesting, though something that doesn't make sense (unless I read it wrong) was that in the game, it said when I used my Longsword as a polearm, the length increased but the speed decreased......shouldn't it be the other way around?

You don't need to own a sword to know shorter=faster.  Anyone play golf?  You know the difference between your driver and your sand wedge in terms of radial velocity.  And you know when you choke up/down on the shaft, you swing the club faster/slower.
