Ah yes, Phaz, the crazy man who was always wearing that huscarl on his back becaus he knew it was OP and useful when he would dismount. At least you are faithful to your class. Druzhina_Nebun: Probably the best archer I've seen. Usually goes 30-2 or something in both siege and battle.
Merc_Tuonela: Horsearcher bump-shooting like a boss.
22nd_Phyrex: Even if there are ~100 players to click through I still do it just to watch this beast exterminating the whole enemy team. A pity I rarely see him on the more populated servers nowadays.
Fallen_Cyber: Have yet to see a better shielder.
Goretooth: Whenever I'm on a NA server I'm usually stalking this medieval tank.

Favs for me would have to be....
Cyranule - one of the only shielders I actually respect because he doesn't crutch hard on his shield. The guy can also actually manual block better than most people in the game and feint you really well and is just extremely hard to fight.
Goretooth - Even though he's masterworked out the ass, he's still fun to watch wading into groups of players just spamming them all down with that bec of his. Plus when I actually get balanced to his team it's a good feeling knowing all I have to do is wound a few people to help him out and the team will win.
Silveredge - As much as I dislike him I must admit that he's probably the only xbow player in the game that I feel can consistently aim quicker than me. So I have respect for him. When we're attempting to shoot each other I always feel its going to be a coin toss on who gets the shot off first. Not to mention he can melee very well and proved this by going 2h spec for an entire gen.
Darkkarma - Not because of him being anything special with a xbow, but because he can melee better than any ranged player with his 1h that I've seen.
Tyrian - He's a very good 2h and I like fighting in melee next to him because he rarely ever hits teammates and has really good swing control. Also I just feel safe fighting with him as a ranged player.
Any LL Player - With a group of my clan members with me I feel almost invincible being that I feel I can rely on them at almost any moment and I know they have my back.

Warpigs_SUPERBEAST, a great guy. I still remember when I beat him for the first time in duels.
Uthred_III_of_Bebbanburg, plated charger + morningstar, 1 WPF sniper xbow... cRPG legend.
Fallen_Punisher, he asked me to join the Brigade after we discovered we have the same build, same armor and same weapon (heirloom levels included).
Fallen_Beauchamp, I miss the old mugface in cRPG.
Fallen_Ramses, for being the greatest commander I know. A few people can bark orders and slaughter people at the same time. Thanks for all the work mate.

I think Lawn_Gnome should get a mention in this thread. His build is 6/33, how many people can maintain a positive KDR with that? Not many, from what I've seen. Always a pleasure watching him destroy armor crutchers, I love people who can win with a real agility build because while it only takes one shot to kill them, it takes like 10 million hits for them to kill anyone else. So much more intense than watching some guy in armor with a bec pretending to be a lawn mower against a row of peasants. Oh and by the way, I have nothing against the bec despite being NA. I have the same amount of respect for anyone using armor and high damage weapons.I heard u love Lawn_Gnome.

Lawn_Gnome uses a shortened spear (Seriously, it's short). He's playing hard mode (agility build with no shield). He wears no armor (Because it's too heavy). He does not work together with his teammates (because he is a hero). All the odds are stacked against him, and he still does well. I love Lawn_Gnome.

You drop enemy archers with just one arrow? It takes 3-5 to kill me depending on quality, what are you shooting at, 9 or 12 str archers in peasant cloth!? I usually haveto two shot enemyarchers unless I get a headshot (but that is 210% damage).

I remember those times well, tin can archers with insane accuracy vs peasant archers. I used to refuse to wear armour heavier than 13.5 (Studded Leather over Mail).
But that's where I used to get constant stagger from arrows that didn't actually hurt me and my poor clan mates hearing "Bloody peasant archers" over ts constantly.
hmm i never had a heavier armor than my studded leather (weight 5). pinpoint precision with PD7 and MW warbow was awesome.
These days I can still kill tincans with only a few arrows from MW Longbow, but archers in cloth take just as many :D
i think he said what archers was capable of back in 2010. my old level 39 pure archer too (21/27 222wpf and MW warbow) was capable of 3shot heavy tanks, 1-2shot archers, almost anything besides burr1ck with a one headshot.
Watching Givi is always fun.
I personally enjoy watching cavalry like TommyHu or TommyByFire (both Hospitallier), and Ruffies_dfc (I think he goes by james something now, or is that Rohypnol. One of them two xD
Anyway, watching good cav rip it up is always fun.

Putting loads of points into PD or WPF into archery doesnt mean I can hit enemies even when I aim badly, why should shieldskill give the abilty to redirect arrows??

Tiring, and innacurate, but rate of fire is there. Now, I would love for archery to take a realism hit: MUCH more innacurate at anything past 100 yards, slightly longer reloads, but when your shot full in chest in anything but plate, your dead (unable to fight: dead/disabled/unconscious). In plate a longbow strike in chest should knockdown, since they did when the arrowhead was not a bodkin: Also the ability to pick which arrow to use with each shot, bodkins for plate and broadheads for mail and less. So, realism is NOT an issue, I agree, but if it was shields would require skill to use rather than just holding rightmouse.

To be fair, putting points in shield does not give a shielder the ability to threaten almost everyone on the battlefield like a range weapon does, nor does using a shield allow him to jump from 120% headshot damage to 210%.

Well my dear readers, I use bows, but I can't use a Longbow, fucking thing is the same size as me :3 (we portuguese people are small) I use a traditional Magyar bow (yes I use a HA bow, yes I am ashamed >.>) and those things are powerfull, and there quite small...
Just saw this: Dude, cmon, I'm only 5foot 8, my longbow is bigger than me and stringing about gives me a hernia, but its all SO worth it. The sight of my arrows burying themselves 12" into the target makes the poop in my pants worth it. *If you have never fired a heavy bow you wont know, but sometims at full draw, the sheer tension in your hands and arms really does make you feel like your about to drop a duce in your pantalones*
None of that modern "archery" with servo assists and red dot aiming, thumb clip, reversed hand posture. Sure that takes practise too, but its as akin to actual archery as gunnery is to rifle fire.
Also, to all you chubbies out there (no offence to anyone, but SOME gamers can get a bit couch potato-y), archery is a great way to sculp your arms and back, an archer's back is slabs of rock once you are on bigboy bows *I should state: dont attempt to string or fire very heavy bows without a proffesional around if you dont have any experience, its very easy to hurt yourself at all stages of preparation, and even easier to give yourself permanent damage to your "bow" shoulder through improper form. I personally shoot the traditional english/welsh style, aiming by judgement, but the renaissance style is also very nice to practise, and looks better to observers, seeing as trad english/welsh looks like the archer is just leaning into his bow and firing without aiming at all.

I knew you would say that, yet I don't understand. I don't like making others suffer. Maybe it's an archer mindset.
I think the point is that ranged people, archers in this case, arent setting out to make you suffer, you are making yourself suffer by getting annoyed in the first place.
A lot of archers come off that way because they often take a lot of shit off people in game, almost continually in fact and I can imagine, in fact I know, it get's old very fast at which point they throw in the towel go 'balls to it' and decide that if you get annoyed then 'so be it and as a revenge for all the shit I take I will now take advantage of your sensitivity by targeting you more, just to watch you squirm.'.

It's really pathetic that you people actually enjoy watching other players. It's really funny how most of you play this game as your only game for months on end, play 10 hours a day, and still be terrible... enjoying watching other people be better than you. SUPERBEAST's ability to charge in without thinking and reckilessly slaughter anyone and make it alive turns me on every time. When I fight, I think a lot, he doesn't need to think, his crazy animal insticts see him through fights I wouldnt even have a chance to survive. Crazy bastard.
Bjord inspires me with his rousing speeches inbetween his deaths. Also good fighter.
Zotte's (craftybadger's) ability to spin his damn pike makes me wanna try similar weapons.
Phazh's ability to imitate Napoleon always makes me want to die for the rebulic.
Cicero's dance of bundle of sticksry only looks gay, but it is an effective way of scaring the hell out of people who are twitchy.

Tommyyy - haven't seem him in a long time, don't even know if he still plays, but he was probably the best cav i've seen, and on top of that, he was also brilliant with every other class - he even topped the score board as an archer when he tried that for a gen.

My favourite player is that player who doesnt swing wildy when he knows he would hit his team mate trying to do so. Who wont bump you with his horse not actually trying to help you but trying to kill the guy you are about to kill. who wont shoot his arrow if there is a friendly fighting his target. Who just wont try to kill anyone in front of him but actually helping the team, breaking in and leaving some kills for the guys that are behind him etc etc...
