Getting 1-Shot while wearing heavy armor
Gurnisson:
Speed bonus + hit in the head
bensai:
lets tak e it 2 duel retards and c how YOU like being callled BAD fCUKERS
Thryn:
Level 35 27/18 Level 35: 33/12
HP: 72 PS: 11
Armor: 55 Head armor Gotland Helm Avg damage per swing
against 55 armor: 31.96, max: 35.19
It seems against this build, you are in the realm of being 1 shot, especially since movement speed %'s are not calculated into the damage. Additionally, I remember San specifically wrote somewhere on the forums that up attack damage does the most damage. Add those 2 factors in, and you pretty well might get one shot.
So, if you are running full speed toward a mauler and they are doing the same, the movement speed + up attack dmg + headshot + str build = 1 shot. I think personally if you at least block a crush-through weapon, a large portion of the damage should be mitigated if it successfully renders the block useless.
However, it's not really surprising that people are getting smashed even in heavy armor. I don't think the damage system is broken, I think having level caps this high is really pushing the system to its breaking point.

It's happening to me too. I haven't changed my build or armor in years, so it's a relatively new problem. It used to take 3-5 hits to kill me. Now I'm lucky to not die in one.

well the problem isn't a few people running around with these crazy strength builds, it's the fact that all the people ive mentioned are also some of the better/top crpg players so you can't pull the normal anti-tincan tactics on them.
because these good players are running around so effectively killing people with their massive remnant/semenstorm stack, everyone else is increasing their str and armor accordingly to attempt to stand a better chance, pretty much like str-build inflation.
you can keep saying "get good get good" but if two equally talented, equally error prone players met in a duel, one wearing heavy armor with a str build, one wearing light/med/heavy(doesnt matter) armor with a lower str/higher agi build, then the player with the str and IF and PS will win every time. If both players are equally talented and prone to error, then the one who has the resources to make more mistakes (the one with the health and damage) will perform much better.
Agi builds can be tough to play, but builds that are tough to play should have much higher rewards when pulled off right. players can't deal with having to hit tincans 5+ times (remember that a lot of these tincans are very skilled players) while also being susceptible to 1-shot deaths
the str inflation is real and is killing the mod
(click to show/hide)also dont forget the new huge stack of skilled players that all sport the high str builds.
battle server was rocking 40 average players a night during this recent revival until the stack happened. no one wants to play against that huge of a stack they should all be banned tbh
