I'm the scenes (maps as most of you call them) on Garguro's NA cRPG servers and will be handling any new ones that people would like to send in. I'm sure some of you have seen me in game (Airith_ATS, Solanar_II_ATS, Vetinari_ATS) at one point or another. Of course you can contact Garguro, but he might just redirect you here/to me.
PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD: If you have a map that you would like to see on the servers, PM it to me. DO NOT POST THEM IN THIS THREAD, please.
All maps will be given a chance, whether that be in PM'ing you back with how to improve your map, or a test run on the server. Please don't take what I say too harshly, I'd love every map to make it on the server, but we need some standards:
a) Please remember that all maps need to be created with cRPG in mind, which means giant ladders. All maps must be properly barricaded against this.
b) Big uphill walks (think of the Ruined Fort native map) are frowned upon.
c) Be careful about making your map too big, generally the first few maps I'm sent fall into this category.
d) Be wary of FPS intensive maps! Not everyone has a super computer with 16GB of Ram and a 3.5Ghz Quadcore processor (I made both of those up but you get the point). Avoid particle effect scene props (Anything that moves/flickers).
e) Entry points, Battle: 0 for defenders, 32 for attackers, 67-68-69 for master of the field; must be placed.
Siege: 0-31 for attackers, 32-63 for defenders, 66 for the flag.
Here's the format for sending in new maps:
1. Info/Ingame name
2. Trustworthy links to maps, ie
http://www.mbrepository.com/index.php2. a) The maps must be in a compressed folder with the following name format: scn_name.sco (name being your map name, no caps, spaces are replaced with underscores)
2. b) In a text file there must be your scene's information FROM THE MODULE SYSTEM module_scenes.py, module_strings.py, module_scripts.py (last two are optional) If you need help with this send me a PM.
If you only have the scenes.txt snippet for your map, I will still be able to look at it. It will just take me a little bit longer.
3. Name of map, description
4. IMPORTANT! Screenshots of the map ie
