5x5 Serial Key Solution (Steam)

Warband 2010 Steam European release (it might not work on every release)

What finally worked for me:

1. install and update "Steam" Warband

2. install cRpg launcher

3. when asked for activation go here: http://www.taleworlds.com/main.aspx?dir=convertserial.aspx

4. write your 5x5 serial , get new shorter serial

5. instead of normal activation choose OFFLINE activation (the one at the bottom)

6. there u will see your Hardware Hash number. Follow the link to get your off-line activation number. Use Hardware Hash and your new serial.

7. Activate with the long number you just got and play by pressing "play CRPG" in the Launcher.

8. Go to any server NA or EU. If you're still getting WSE warrnings -restart the game.

9. After one restart warning will be gone and everything should be working (to be sure play rageball as it absolutely needs WSE to work)

10. Enjoy!

install warband trough steam,open steam,look for the right side of screen where says CD KEY,click on that,get 4x4 key.
Go to taleworlds site,register ur game,play. Is that so fucking hard?

Except that CD Key link on the right hand side gives a 5x5 key.

regedit->search for mountandblade -> serial key.
that's all.

for me it is giving 4x4. You are doing something wrong.

Miekce, we're not doing anything wrong. Steam gave 5x5 keys for a period of time for new buyers.

i bought reatail version of warband,and i can only install it and play with steam. In cd box there is 5x5 key,so i entered when steam asked me.
After that when i installed game,i clicked on link and cd key,and it gave me 4x4. Now i have Steam version of warband,non steam version of warband,and mod testing,and editing version of warband.

Just to clarify: This is a solution for people who for some reason get the trial version thingy while using WSE, and  have 5x5 key in Steam AND in regedit.

My fiend bought the game year later. Same shop. Same box. He never even got the trial version prompt. Some of us just got unlucky.
