Class Divisions:
All classes other than Overlord can be chosen as the role you play in strategus battles. Classes are determined by what the individual player likes to play as, is good at, or currently plays as. If you would like to learn more about each class then check them out below. All people are different, and we realize self-customization is important.
-=Overlord=-
Overlords are the leaders of DoD. They control diplomatic relations, and give orders on the battlefield. Overlords can use any weapon they are proficient with.
Current Overlords: 2
-=Dread Knight=-
Dread Knights are the elite of the elite in DoD. They play the role of shock troops, and wield massive bardiches. Current Dread Knight(s): 1
-=Black Guard=-
Black Guards play the role of defender. They guard the friendly spawn point, and may be used along with legionnaires for shield walls. Their main weapon is the cleaver and board shield.
Current Black Guards: 4
- Blackzilla
- Jeep91
- Ramien
- Thanator
-=Thrall=-
Thralls are small party leaders that can act on their own if they and their contingent are separated or unable to get to the main location. Thralls head a customized squad of warriors from different classes. Their main weapon is their choice. Current Thrall(s): 1
-=Legionnaire=-
Legionnaires are the backbone of DoD. They are the most numerous, and can work together in a specified formation if given one from the present Overlord. Legionnaires wield mighty pikes and board shields. Current Legionnaires: 3
- Krankshaft
- RagingPolak
- Nihkes
- polesteve
-=Reiterei=-
Reiterei are the cavalry of DoD. They are used to harass enemy formations, and charge in unison. A Reiterei contingent can be commanded by an Overlord or a Thrall with the same riding proficiency. If neither has enough proficiency, then the Reiterei will be commanded by the current Grandmaster of the class. Reiterei wield any weapon they are proficient with on a horse. Current Reiterei: 2
-=Talon=-
Talon are the ranged players of DoD. They are kept behind the lines, and fire upon approaching enemies. Talon are to be defended at all costs. They wield bows, crossbows, or throwing weapons, and a choice of their own melee weapons. Current Talon: 4
- LoneShadow
- Gromnash
- Legolas
- ShadowShot
-=Vanguard=-
Vanguard are those who make up the front lines. They are good with other Vanguard, but when they are paired with others such as legionnaires or blackguards, bad things happen. They swing wildly and often are sent out from the defensive position to whittle down enemy numbers. Vanguard wield whatever 2handed weapon that is currently available. Current Vanguard: 3
-=Minion=-
Minions are players who have no particular fighting style, and can be used to augment other battalions. An example of this would be a minion with a pole-arm joining the reserve ranks of the legionnaires, or a minion with a shield taking up a defensive stance with the Black Guard regiment. Current Minions: 2
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Class Notes:
There can be no more than 5 Dread Knights at one time.
All Legionnaires must have a board shield.
Each thrall can lead 3 fellow DoD clan members to battle for any given sum of time if all 3 players in that party agree..
In a strategus battle, a minion can join different ranks to provide aid to whichever other battalion is in need of it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Never shall we be such as the over imposing lordly governing system of our former rulers. Instead we bring a new way of ruling to Calradia. This means that we do not judge players by titles or "family", we judge them by their skill (in formations), dedication, and valor!

Formations:
Thorn
This is formation consists of 4 or more individuals with pikes, spears, swords, and board shields. A square is made and pikes are cast out in each diagonal corner facing outward. Back to back, the pikes resemble the letter "X". The most important detail about this formation is that the executors of the formation must retain form at all times! Only if attacked by infantry or a dismounted rider must the formation break.. Momentarily. This is the simplest and easiest to learn tactic deployed against cavalry.
In Progress!
Sanctuary
This formation requires 3 men with board shields and spears. A triangle must be made with shields covering all sides of each man. Like "Thorn" above, Each man must keep his place. If one moves the formation will break and all 3 men will die. This is only for last-ditch measures and is not an effective way to beat another army. Only for soaking up arrows, and forcing melee combat.
