I want! who else?

I know, i know, it has been discussed several times, chadz thinks it feels like 90's, many think it is a mode for noobs, many think it is unnecessary cause we already have siege for insta-spawn.

BUT, for me TDM is the only reason to play native now and then. Which is a pain in the ass with massive OP cavs and pinpoint archers + laggy servers.

So lets have a small TDM server in crpg for diversity, can it cause so much harm? I want to warm up there for 20 minutes, I want to get into crazy killingfrenzy in absolute unorganized chaos battles, I want to have fun if have only 15 minutes time to play, I want to play it with my crpg char. Even if it would be without xp or only x1 all the time, I want.

We probably wont ever have TDM.

But it´s a nice thought.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

I for one crave the action of TDM game mode constantly, to the point where I often find myself going to the only populated Native TDM server with decent ping to me. In Battle, you make a mistake and you die early, you are stuck dead for up to 5 minutes sometimes. In siege combat is secondary to defending or taking the objective.

With the majority of maps on official battle servers being villages that were never really intended for multiplayer combat in their basic builds, most of the battles (on NA at least) wind up being cav and ranged dominated, which is fine for the maps and the mode.

TDM would, for me at least, give me a place to play, where I could be messy without really hurting my team much compared to the other game modes. It would also alleviate some of the annoyance I currently experience as a melee fighter in regards to team composition. Even though I will likely be shot or lanced at some point, to my death, I will respawn quickly and be back in the thick of it. I will be able to actually play the game instead of waiting to respawn on a huge server, or making a mad dash for the flag as the time ticks out.

It being simple is in my mind the whole point. The game mode is simple in premise, but the gameplay has all the nuance of any combat situation. It is in effect a stress reliever.

Someone just set up a server hosting TDM already, screw the authorities.  :P

I would play both. CTF was promised a year ago.  :cry:

i agree there is just one hick up though.....

a while back a number of servers abused TDM by leeching it excessively for gold/xp <- this to me seems the reason why its completely cut out of the crpg mod

to me it seems easily fixed why not make the xp system the old way?

or is there some force beyond my comprehension and view making that impossible

the only thing i ever played in native was DTM DM and siege...i NEVER once touched battle and why would I? to me its inferior to the modes i stated why would i have ever played it.

the shear awesomeness of crpg changed my mind,but now my hunger for a death match grows more and more to the point where i cut my play time over half seeing how the only REAL mode is battle all others are either taken out or broken or extinct (siege is broken imo)

im pretty much a casual crpg player now

That incident was with capture the flag, but i don't know what exactly was the exploit and why ctf wasn't implemented.

what you mean, old xp system, only for TDM or in general? In both cases, no old system sucks. And why shouldn't the current system work well with TDM?

No, if we have a game mode with the old xp system many will play there only to use high end-gear all the time. I would play with x1 all the time, but why exactly do you think this is necessary?

Unlike battle which is about keeping together, using some sort of tactic to achieve victory, and siege which is about defending or capturing an objective, TDM is about killing, pure and simple. Lives don't generally last long enough to organize much of a front, and you may well spawn right in the thick of it next to enemies. As such I think it'd make sense to add a bit more of a personal reward aspect to it rather than group reward.

That needs to be tested, but I would think TDM brings enough personal reward with it without any extra bonus. I guess people wouldn't care for team achievment much more with this system, look at siege. Also unless its changed a round in TDM is won by the team with the most kills. Of course you can make more kills with good teamwork but individual kills count already much more than in battle.

Well, as long as the cRPG maps had better spawns than the Native maps I played.

It's been ages since I played TDM in Native, but I remember absolutely hating it.
Enemies would literally spawn right behind me. All-the-time.
