Remove the system of alts,  and introduce the KNAVE system.  This would foster the RP character of the game,  link any alt char to the main char and would probably taste like tequila flavored lemon pie. juice.

features:

-the alt gets the nametag (main+)sknave = Tychow_Torbensknave

-the tenth shal goeth to the main (gold)

-the main can take whatever he wants (free one-way extraction of items)

-the main may rape the alts wife (+1 syphilis)


spitballin not-sure-ideas:

-any item the alt/knave buys has to be paid by the main

-the knave can not buy the highest tear weapons and armor. this would make high end loomes more special,  as only mains can loom them.  i like this in particular

-1x of gold the knave makes gets subtracted from the main ?

-insert any medieval features that would make this more roleplayish,  pleas post ideas.

Since Devs are so good for roleplaying, doing this would only be natural.

I´d like that ALL the Gold from the Knave goes to the main, but the Main has to pay for everything the Knave buys.One Way Item Exchange is also pretty awesome(Although it wouldnt hurt if there was a 2way exchange...).Knave should obviously be restricted for the market.

by the knave only being able to use low and medium gear,  we would hopefully see lots of these on the field, with few highly armored knights.  would be cool.
if all the gold goes to main,  the upkeep,  or base price of medium to high gear would have to be upped by a huge amount imo.

Since the Main has also to pay for everything the alt buys or repairs, it would even out.It´s basically like 2 Chars sharing one Bank account.

but I would make it optional, 'cause if roleplaying and my alt is the mains daddy ... what about that? doesn't fit. or think of other role-play ideas.
maybe you can think of similar solutions which are more open to interpretation - maybe it's just a name thing?

hm,  actually i dont care about the roleplaying that much.  its more about linking the alt to the main so everyone knows who´s playing,  and far most the possibility of loom transfer to the main.

hm, I think I would not like to see my alt as an underling of my main. so I was thinking of your idea as a role-play-attempt - but it seems I was wrong. Besides I don't want people always to see who's playing - it's like masquerade.
I can imagine your idea in a STF-function-like way. Like I said, optional.

And maybe on the same base something like low-level item sharing for all alts for those people who want to see their alts as a warband (so still main remains knight or leader and pays their upkeep), you could call them MERC, and/or something else.
